What has Princes Street in Edinburgh got to do with Christmas emoticons pray ?

confused

Elegran Fri 29-Nov-13 16:02:53

Princes Street is about a mile long, and the ROSL is maybe a quarter of a mile from the other end, so about three quarters of a mile. Further when you have a train to catch.

Wow, Google tells me it is 8 mins.!! Doesn't really help you Galen because it doesn't say if the 8 minutes is walking, running, or whipping along on a disability scooter.

No sooner had I posted that everything was back to normal last night when everything went haywire again. Not only that but my netbook started losing battery power and it wouldn't accept recharging after being plugged back into the mains.
GNHQ obviously have powers undreamt of.

Been to visit local tech this morning and it wouldn't work for him either. It took 20 minutes of being threatened in a back room before he came out and said it "it will work now." Bless him, he didn't charge anything either.

I don't mind if he thinks I'm old and technically challenged.grin

Fine here, except I can't find hoe far it from 100 princes st edinburgh to waterloo place in same city!

Nonu Fri 29-Nov-13 11:42:32

All seems to A okay now . --Good , "fraid I got bored with last night so buzzed off !

AlieOxon Fri 29-Nov-13 11:28:11

So far ok today.....

KatGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 28-Nov-13 21:21:03

Typical the site falls over on my evening shift, eh? wink

I've sent a million few mails to tech, hopefully someone will be able to make a permanent fix soon.

Ana Thu 28-Nov-13 21:14:49

Same problem as Alie, ten minutes ago my password wasn't acccepted - managed to get in this time, but it keeps happening.

annodomini Thu 28-Nov-13 21:13:59

No, it did it to me again, so I went elsewhere and came back. Working at the moment.

KatGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 28-Nov-13 21:05:19

Ana

It's NOT FIXED Kat!!! sad

Looks okay to me - what's up?

AlieOxon Thu 28-Nov-13 21:03:04

I've had this too, ten minutes ago - took me three tries to get in.

Ana Thu 28-Nov-13 20:35:35

It's NOT FIXED Kat!!! sad

annodomini Thu 28-Nov-13 20:07:53

This happened to me yesterday. No inbox and then reams of some kind of computer code. Then it refused to recognise my password and I had to re-set it. All OK today - I think!

newist Thu 28-Nov-13 19:40:22

I had just typed out a long post, it took me ages to do because I am rubbish at typing, Then.... it disappeared angry

sunseeker Thu 28-Nov-13 19:39:00

Same thing happened to me and the messages in my inbox had also vanished - seems to be OK now

Nonu Thu 28-Nov-13 19:37:00

KAT you are such a poppet .
I for one will be waiting with bated breath !!

grin

KatGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 28-Nov-13 19:34:41

Apols - it's a technical error across the site, fingers crossed it's fixed now.

As for Christmas emoticons, we will have to wait until 1 December, at least. grin

Nonu Thu 28-Nov-13 19:32:50

Perhaps GNHQ are sending a coded message . I.E.You will get your festive Emoticons when we are ready !!

Nonu Thu 28-Nov-13 19:30:01

Oops , ANA I praised the lord too soon !
grin
