Good Morning Everyone,
Up early still dark, anyway shopping day today , and yesterday I did Oxford again with Bicester, as I had a xmas present to buy.
Visited the White Horse in Broad street, and was told endeavour was being filmed last Tuesday they spent 4.5 hours for a 30 second shot in the pub.

flower so sorry that you are feeling down. You're bound to be a bit nervous after being home for 2 months. Pamper yourself and the cat smile

I'm sure things will start looking up soon.xx

They have been messing around with editing the local sites so as to allow people to sign on to local newsletters as well. Possibly just nagging tech to do it. Don't all try to sign up for them at once though, there are still apparently wrinkles to iron out. (Does that mean the site will be down again?)

Gally Fri 29-Nov-13 13:50:52

I was just thinking the same Galen wink

Galen Fri 29-Nov-13 13:46:13

Have GNHQ gone on strike?
Where's our newsletter?
Do they need bribing with cake to produce it?

annodomini Fri 29-Nov-13 13:34:20

No, you aren't a 'miserable old bat', flower. You and your husband have been through a tough time and you both need TLC. Do your family know how you are feeling?

Flowerofthewest Fri 29-Nov-13 13:31:16

will do Alie xxxx

AlieOxon Fri 29-Nov-13 13:27:22

Flower I know what it is to be tired all the time = have had a lot over the last three years, various illnesses! flowers
Keep warm and pamper yourself a bit, wrap up - and watch something good?

Bellasnana Fri 29-Nov-13 13:16:41

Wet and chilly here in Malta, too. I feel sorry for the poor tourists who have been led to believe we enjoy tropical weather all year round.

flower - sorry you are feeling down in the dumps and hope you soon feel better. flowers

annodomini Fri 29-Nov-13 12:57:40

Raining and blowing now. The birch trees are depositing their leaves all over my garden and then they get trodden into the house, no matter how carefully you wipe your feet!

Flowerofthewest Fri 29-Nov-13 12:57:03

I am feeling a tad depressed today. I haven't really been out of the house on my own for about 2 months now following illnesses. I feel a bit 'nervous' don't know why. My DDH is going off on the shuttle bus to hospital every day now for his radiotherapy. No room for me. I am usually happy to be on my own but its not knowing when he will be back.

It's very windy here and cold. The cat is curled up on the bed which is a good indicator of the temperature outside.

I am so tired all the time too. Miserable old bat that I am.

glassortwo Fri 29-Nov-13 12:25:09

Harri just been doing the name tags for tomorrow, you not coming?

harrigran Fri 29-Nov-13 12:14:36

Bright but windy day here in the north east. GC are off school today so I will be off to babysit shortly.

Nelliemoser Fri 29-Nov-13 11:51:57

I have just been watching all next doors leaves whirling off our open plan front lawns. They go right across my lawn and off down the curved road of our close of houses. Some poor neighbour further along will be getting the lot in their front garden.
In places there are actual little whirwinds of leaves.
It's really quite pretty when you don't have to sweep them up.

good morning to all . Breezy here , still good "drying" day .
I am off to my health club this afternoon for a swim & massage !

AlieOxon Fri 29-Nov-13 11:34:28

i did wonder what this Black Friday stuff was. Odd name!
Started off bright here, now it can't make up its mind......

I had two days gutter men; now another lot are coming to put scaffolding up on Monday, then the others will finish up on Tues. I thought last week it would be done by now.
Probably not as exhausting as this week has been, though.

KatyK Fri 29-Nov-13 10:49:12

Lovely and sunny in Brum smile

kitty my husband used to sit with his mum pretending to be her brother (well she thought he was, and he would play along) and carry the story on for hours by prompting a bit more depending on what she said e.g. school, childish games etc. She'd be happy, and he'd be enjoying himself too (and so did the onlookers like myself!). Sadly those days are gone now and she can only make noises.
