You have to select the right thing in your account details to receive a notification. If you are not being notified by an email to your usual email address, you need to check you have selected the right choice.

So you mean do you check for all emails, not just the Gransnet ones?

You can, of course, just look in your inbox while logged in to Gransnet. (up near the top, beside the "log out" button)
