Spectangle

I am trying to buy my OH a spectangle. It is basically a device that you hang round your neck to hold your specs....but it is not the sort where you fix the ends of the cord to the arms of the glasses. This one is like a lanyard with a round metal "ring" on the end that you slot your folded glasses in and they hang round your neck like a pendant.

My friend has one and it is brilliant. All she can remember is that she bought it online. When I google it. all I get is a new app called a spectangle!

Any idea where I might get one?

You may just save our marriage as I am not sure I can cope with the phrase "Where are my f*****g glasses" many more times!!!

I wanted to get one of those,(the ring) and my optician sells them...........but you need a second mortgage, so I didn't bother!

I prefer the normal neck cord because my reading specs are on and off all day and I wouldn't want to bother folding and unfolding them all the time. I have a tip for anyone else who uses them but finds that the tapering arms of some glasses slip off. I add a tiny rubber band of the sort used by fishermen on their floats. This prevents any movement and they come in several colours and sizes. They can be found on ebay.
