Hope you enjoy/enjoyed your Christmas Show Granny23. I am just back from watching my 4year old DGs as one of the Three Kings in a traditional nativity and it was lovely. All 3 and 4 year olds and almost faultless.

Back from 3-year old DGS's Christmas play. He didn't freeze, smiled all the way through and sang his song very loudly with gusto.

What a little super-trooper [big slopply proud nana emoticon]

Foggy and cold here. Should I get baking, with liberal applications of brandy, to start to make the house smell Christmassy?

Grannylin Wed 11-Dec-13 11:01:50

Sunny now the fog has lifted.Lots of bullfinches nibbling old blackberries..

Galen Wed 11-Dec-13 10:27:23

Fog
Garden full of great tits and blue tits this morning.

Lovely sunny day here in the north east. Dentists this morning, just a check up so not too worried. I think I may start my Christmas shopping.

Was hoping for a long lie this am but other GPs have cancelled going to DGS's Christmas Show and we have been Shanghaied into cheering him on. Saw an excellent nativity 'starring' DGD1 as an alien yesterday and will see DGD2 being an angel on Friday. Later today we are off to Glasgow for Andre Rieu and the JSO concert at the Hydro. Staying overnight. Wonder which show we will enjoy most? grin

Very foggy here in London. I am hanging around waiting for a parcel and then I may go to M&S foodstore to spend £30 of vouchers. All of my cards are posted, I just have to write the cards which I hand deliver to neighbours.

(((hugs))) sewsilver and thank you all for your good wishes. I feel a fraud - I've only got an upset stomach - soop needs good wishes my h more than I do. I'm feeling frustrated as I've got lots to do and just not quite enough energy to do it.

Still, a good excuse to read the Hilary Boyd book which I'm really enjoying. tchgrin

Gagagran Wed 11-Dec-13 08:39:24

It's the choir Christmas bash tonight and I have a cake to make to take as my contribution to the buffet. Apparently we are going to have a singalong round the piano whilst our wonderful pianist plays requests. Anyone who wants to can "do a turn" so I've found a couple of funny poems which I may pluck up courage to read. Should be fun. Hope all the unwell are feeling better - especially Mr and Mrs soop.

Good morning, I intended to make an early start today and got waylaid here. Another beautiful morning, pink sky and an ethereal mist hanging over the hills as the sun comes through. I am feeling so lucky to be living in this landscape. Off to try to sell DH car today, I can't bear to see it. Hope you're soon feeling better Kitty and Soop.

Brendawymms Wed 11-Dec-13 08:20:24

An orange morning in East Sussex, the sky was a lovely orange colour as the sun came up. No clouds, no mist no wind. Lovely day.
Got the tree out the loft yesterday and decorated it with my crochet snowflakes. The cat loved it and spent ages looking at it.
Christmas meal this evening with colleagues from the hospice retail shop aka charity shop!

NfkDumpling Wed 11-Dec-13 08:11:30

Another misty moisty morning here. Hope you're feeling a bit better today Kitty - and Soop of course. I do hope she had a good night.

PRINTMISS Wed 11-Dec-13 08:07:38

Good morning everyone, it looks very pretty from indoors, a heavy frost dusting the roof-tops, and the sun just beginning to cast a pinky glow. It is very cold! Take it easy Kitty, and I too hope that soop is feeling better. Off to knit and natter later on, and to get some cards posted, I was not going to send any this year, but like most intentions it has gone with the wind. Enjoy your days.

Dark and gloomy here, and I'm late up.
Should be going for a double birthday lunch with a crowd of friends but I can't face the food.
It's a middle eastern restaurant, and my digestive system just hasn't recovered enough from all the antibiotics I had in hospital.
Ah well, that's life!

Hope soop is on the mend.

thatbags Wed 11-Dec-13 07:51:43

Not even a glimmer of light here yet. I can only tell where the other side of the loch is by the road lights. I think it'll be a flapjack-making and ironing day today.

MiceElf Wed 11-Dec-13 07:31:41

It's a right pea souper here. Makes me feel quite nostalgic, real coal fires, mucky clothes, nasty coughs, lost directions, schools closed, and lots of grumbles.

ffinnochio Wed 11-Dec-13 07:19:18

Good morning everyone. Yet another beautiful morning - we've had a good run of these. Off out walking with camera in pocket again. Hoping soop has a better day today.

gillybob Wed 11-Dec-13 07:16:23

Still dark here on the North East coast too. I can see the little lights from all the fishing boats bobbing around in the sea. It looks really pretty .

Have a good trip Michael smile

I love Oxford Mick, enjoy your day.

Aka Wed 11-Dec-13 07:14:46

Off to see 3-year old DGS in his nursery 'production' told he has a leading role! Bet he freezes and won't perform tchhmm

kittylester Wed 11-Dec-13 07:09:40

Good morning. Enjoy your trip Mick.

Still dark and a bit foggy here. I still feel wobbly so I'm taking my time to get going this morning!
