Searched for Mick this morning, and no sign, hope everything is o.k. Good morning to you all, I am very late this morning, so just popping in to say hello, and hope you all have a good day. We have a party at my son's home today, and the rest of the family are joining us there, which will be good. Weather-wise, it looks as if it might be a fine day, a little warmer than of late. Welcome rain yesterday.

Nobody about other than thee and me printmiss? Your day sounds lovely, enjoy yourself with all your family.
Presents all bought, finished yesterday, but not wrapped yet. I have a nice family event today too, my DD and DSiL are taking us out to Tom Kerridge's Hand and Flowers in Marlow as a thank you for help since DGS was born in May. Sounds amazing, and we get cuddles too.

Mornin'.
Up and still coughing a little here. It's cold and sunny.
(I type and there's a delay - why?)
I hope it warms up a bit later, I need to do some things outside!

I am off with my choir to "entertain" punters at a local National Trust stately home by singing carols to them.

As usual we will be crammed on the stairs with our heads bumping against massive paintings of the ancestors.
NT pay our choir and we eventually send our profits to our local hospice.

In a way it's money laundering as from what I understand charities like the NT cannot donate to other such things.

It might be fun who knows.

Which stately home, Nellie? There are so many in Cheshire!

Nelliemoser Sat 14-Dec-13 09:48:21

Anno Tatton Park Are you coming to cheer us on? wink We usually take it turns with another choir at about 45 mins a time.

Good morning to you all, I have already been out to the Post Office, (to try and avoid the crowds, posted all Christmas cards, which I bought yesterday morning and wrote in the afternoon. Phew, what a relief.
Off with Mr T to buy my xmas pressie today. A new down jacket. Fab.
We will then go for coffee and cake. Going to attempt a few decorations later, if kitten allows, already decided not to put up a tree, as said kitten would have it wrecked in minutes.
Hope you all have a lovely day.tchgrin

In town by 8.30 this morning and glad to get out at 9.15.
Lovely fine day here so going to do some land clearance next door again. Said neighbour always plies me with cake (WI market yummy cakes) which we joke that it makes me do more work to use up the calories. Cake or no cake I just love doing it.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Bright and calm in East Sussex. Yesterday did a big Christmas food shop, no not fresh food but all the rest. Trouble was forgot to buy any food to eat now so have to go food shopping!

Morning everyone - ages since I was on this thread as in different time zone and so busy -- this weekend the fun sort of finishes - we leave Cardiff today and are booked on the overnight ferry from Portsmouth - should get to the little house tomorrow with luck and a fair wind. Had Christmas with the family here last evening but the meal was eaten in a restaurant - had Thanksgiving with the rest of the family in USA a couple of weeks ago and we will have actual Christmas Day with friends.
I am looking forward to a few quiet days after the hectic but wonderful weeks we have had!!
Have a good day everyone and enjoy your singing and get togethers everyone. X x x x

Bright and sunny here. Trying to get back on track after the enforced lay off today. Wonder what will put a spanner in the works this time tchgrin

harrigran Sat 14-Dec-13 11:56:37

Just made it while it is still morning. Sunny in the north east and just a little breezy.
Off to see GC, normally do Sundays but they have two parties tomorrow. DS has a birthday next week so will take and hide his presents too.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Brendawymms Sat 14-Dec-13 12:23:24

Stormy in the West. Batten down the hatchesgrin

Elegran Sat 14-Dec-13 12:33:15

A pot has just blown off my chimney and smashed into fragments at the side of the house, taking a couple of slates with it.

newist Sat 14-Dec-13 12:51:20

Elegran how awful, thats the great danger, things flying about. Its quite dodgy here in the Hebrides

AlieOxon Sat 14-Dec-13 12:55:58

Oh dear Elegran another hassle!

Just made myself do a bit of mending (15mins, the first stage) on the peeling patches, outside wall. Now my gutters are fixed I want to make the house look neater - the paint has been patched before, can't afford a repaint, so handyman and I are doing it, I will do the low bits.....there are also little spots where the insulation was put in, which don't match!
I want to get the next bit done before he comes again, and it is fine here just now. Hope it doesn't make my cough worse, but I did wrap up.

Agus Sat 14-Dec-13 12:59:39

Sorry to hear that Elegran. As far as I know, nothing major so far. Hope I'm not speaking too soon!

Elegran Sat 14-Dec-13 13:09:14

At least no-one was walking under it. That chimney is not in use, so it won't matter, but the tiles will have to be done.

Good Morning/Good Evening,
Have had a computer problems reverted back to older one for the meantime, tried to do something I should not have on Friday 13th on new one.
Its getting windy here in Brackley.

Bellasnana Sat 14-Dec-13 18:06:32

Very glad to hear you are ok, Mick. I looked in early this morning and was a bit concerned about where you were. Have a good evening smile
