Good morning everyone - or what is left of it! Very frosty here first thing but most of it gone by ten - went to a local market with a friend and warm enough to sit outside in the sun with a couple of coffees- in truth the shopping at the market is secondary to the sitting and drinking the coffee and having a catch up on our own!!
Lovely and sunny still but OH still not well enough to ome to the Christmas Market - or that is what he says but I think that is an excuse. - would be no fun on my own!!
Must start some Christmas preparation - like maybe finding the tree and decorations and wrapping a few presents!!!! I once again have a full basket of ironing to entertain me- happy days --- enjoy the next few days everyone.
So pleased to read your postLona --- better than any present I bet x x x x

I have bought a washing machine! Only have to hand wash until the 30th now.
Also my first time actually going to shop for Xmas and enjoying it...greatly helped by the local brass band playing in Sainsbury's. Very cheering.

Belated good morning from a beautiful, sunny and fresh bit of Cheshire.
I am late on here this morning as my dd has just left.

Last night my ds came round with my 2yr dgd, and he kissed and made up with my dd after almost two years of bitter family rows. He wouldn't allow dd to see his baby, but last night she got to cuddle her and play for an hour.

Many happy tears were shed, and it has certainly made mine and dd's Christmas, a much better time.

Morning all, the sun is just trying to break through here. It was still quiet dark here at 8am.
Well being Mrs. Efficiency (as if!) I find myself with nothing to do this weekend.
Spare pair of hands anyone ?

Good morning all, fine and bright here but a frost on the car when we went to the market earlier.

Have to go shopping again as it was only confirmed last night that we will be four instead of two for Christmas dinner.

Sorry to read that Humbertbear hope your hubby makes a good and speedy recovery.

Humbertbear Sat 21-Dec-13 10:05:33

We should be up and busy packing to go away to a rented cottage for the week but my husband has developed a DVT and needs daily treatment so we are still in bed reading the papers and drinking coffee, wondering to do over the next week.

Going down to investigate a possible washing machine at Argos - no phone number for local shop available?

Taking steroids is going to be a hassle - now 4 different lots of pills at different times and with or without - or after - food!

I cannot believe how dark it is this morning in NW London. I am getting the brain into gear ready to go to the gym.

I am expecting a large on line shop delivered this afternoon. Once I have sorted that out, my Christmas is starting. Must put petrol in the car, "just in case".

Good Morning from Cheshire some blue sky in sight and dry at present but I am not holding my breath.

I was going to take my osteoporosis pill the morning on the usual empty stomach with all the palava of sitting up straight afterwards for at least 30mins, so I delayed taking the paracetamol before doing my shoulder physio. I have been nagged by the physiotherapist to make sure I am on pain relief before I do their torture! wink (Really I am impressed by how they are helping)

However I have just realised the Alendronic acid is still at the the chemists. This has now delayed everything I wanted to do this morning by a good hour and a half as I am now waiting for the paracetamol to work. I could have done all this at 7:30. I need to engage my brain. Plans for the day have now changed.

Good morning all. Another sunny day here in Malta. Just been to hang the washing out and then discovered another pile of dirty clothes in DS's room. He is back from a week in Sicily and has evidently unpacked!
Hope everyone has a good day smile

thatbags Sat 21-Dec-13 08:50:15

Good morning all. The darkest, shortest day has arrived and my mood matches it. Feeling at a low ebb – useless, helpless – nonsense, I know, but still. Nothing to do with Christmas. I'll get over it.

Brendawymms Sat 21-Dec-13 08:35:35

Morning all from East Sussex the day is so dire weather wise it has to be porridge for breakfast. In the shop this pm but must remember to take the shopping list. Family arrive tomorrow for the week.

Sewsilver Sat 21-Dec-13 08:34:07

Grey and damp here but after today we start to get more light! My youngest son arrives today for a week so it will be lovely to have company. Wood burning stove lit ready for Christmas.

Stansgran Sat 21-Dec-13 08:29:38

Dawn is grey and sombre rather like me. Feel as though I've forgotten something but don't know what it is. If I knew what it was I wouldn't have forgotten it .tchconfused

Oldgreymare Sat 21-Dec-13 08:20:55

Sorry, Morning All, ( carried away with the thought of .... have I remembered everything?)

Oldgreymare Sat 21-Dec-13 08:19:30

Cooking my first Christmas Dinner today, No.2 son and DIL are here until tomorrow, they want to be 'alone' on Christmas day hmm. The second will be on New years Eve for No.1 son and Co. weather permitting.

LizG Sat 21-Dec-13 08:12:02

Good morning all. The forecast is so bad for the next few days I think I will just stay in bed. Sometimes I wonder whether it would be better not to listen to forecasts and maybe let the weather come as a surprise.

AlieOxon Sat 21-Dec-13 08:10:57

Still dark here too - but the cat knows it's dawn and woke me up yowling.
I fed her but she's still making a noise and I don't know why. I'm sleepy!

PRINTMISS Sat 21-Dec-13 08:08:13

Good morning, still very dark here, after the really bright mornings we have had, it is also quite windy, but not too cold. We are living it up again today, having lunch with friends in Sainsburys! Enjoy your days.
