Oh lots of lovely ideas here, thank you all flowers I must pass these on to my DD and take notes for myself.

DD1 does the fairy bag thing too. It was a new idea to me but this is now one of her own traditions. She made two Dorothy bags and embroidered the girls' names on them. They contain new PJ's, new toothbrush and a card from the fairies then sprinkles some fairy dust around..they are opened on Christmas Eve in time to brush teeth, Jammie's on and bedtime with a Christmas story.
I think it just adds to the magical time for children and another memory maker tchsmile

Digital Radio Box shape has magically arrived under the tree grin

My DD has made a Christmas Eve box with Santa Key (an old antique one of ours she 'borrowed' last Christmas. A Christmas fleece to snuggle under, Christmas book, hot chocolate, Christmas video and Christmas goodies. I think the little family are going to have a lovely time today.

I can't see anything that looks like a printer/scanner, either. Ho humbug. I'm sure I will get some nice things, just that technical stuff for some reason seems to take him a full year, after having read every review ever written, first.

My DD has pinched the Christmas eve box idea from her friend for the first time. She has put new pj's a lovely Christmas time story book and a fun DVD pluss treats. They are going to open it after tea tonight.
Lovely idea, not one I'd come across before.

glass DD, DGD & I did the gingerbread house yesterday, it was great fun, enjoy smile

sewsilver I hope the children's laughter is infectious and that you have a good day x

Sewsilver - enjoy this lovely time with your family. Your day with the children sounds quite wonderful! Your DH will be there in all your hearts and would have wished you all to have a wonderful day. Stay strong and have a splendid time.

I have 2 DDs and their children arriving soon and one lot is staying the night. I have a touch of bronchitis (as always in the winter) and my body is working overtime keeping it at bay, so just at this moment I am trying to muster the energy to face this jolly onslaught! I am sure it will be lovely!

glass I hope you're going to get your feet up soon after your busy life December?
Perhaps there'll be a pamper pressy for you tchgrin you deserve it.

Have a good one everybody!

Enjoy your day with the DGd's sew tchsmile there will be lots of puddles for them today if your weather has been like ours.

Sewsilver Tue 24-Dec-13 08:09:57

Gd's here for the whole day today, weather permitting. Lovely! They make all their presents during the day. I'm hoping they'll be a bit less ambitious than last year! Have bought them wellies so we can all go paddling later then lunch at the local cafe. It gives DS and partner chance to get ready for tomorrow and is the best part of Christmas for me. This year will be poignant with no DH to share it all but I don't think there will be much time or space for grief.

glass what a lovely idea tchsmile. Yesterday my 5 year old DGD made Christmas cards for immediate family, it kept her busy most of the day. Today she has a kit to make a fairy, not sure what the 2 year old DGS's will be doing, think I will leave DH to sort them out. [I wish emoticon]

Hope you all find what you are hoping for under the Christmas tree.

Enjoy

Well Santa hasnt arrived here yet tchwink but the Elves have delivered the Christmas Eve box, it looks to be full of two gingerbread houses to decorate, new PJ's, a couple of Christmas DVDs, popcorn and bubble bath, just need to DGC to wake up to open it.

Its beginning to feel at bit like Christmas...

kittylester Tue 24-Dec-13 07:30:49

There is nothing quite small enough under our tree. tchgrin

LizG Tue 24-Dec-13 02:37:20

Perhaps there is an IOU or there is a parcel hidden elsewhere. tchsmile. I haven't a clue what might be under our tree for me, my daughter tells me I won't dislike it - worrying!

Flowerofthewest Tue 24-Dec-13 02:28:14

.....Not one of my presents under the tree looks like a Digital Radio sad
