Being lucky enough to have all my close family with us. Everyone mucking in and lots of fun and laughter.

Lona I also agree that it is lovely to be told that you are appreciated and not just taken for granted. She, and you sound like people in a million. Definitely the best present.

We don't do Christmas presents except for the children,so it was my dil telling me how much she appreciates me going in and clearing up every day she is at work! Plus some of my favourite perfume.
She is lovely and I'm so glad I can help them.

A promise from DD and SiL for a lunch at a lovely gastro pub and an overnight stay at theirs afterwards. We'll look forward to that when the January gloom sets in.

A large magnified illuminated mirror on a stand so I can see to put my contacts in.

Mine was a plastic box from Poundland . The sort that has lots of little sections for sorting screws and a tight fitting lid. My husband made a special trip out to buy it for me after I had told him I had just seen a tip about using one as a paint palette.
