There are a lot of us on our own.
The last party was aborted due to greatnan's death !
Is anyone interested in one?
The venue I suggest should be

BALMORAL

What are you wearing Galen ?

Nelliemoser Tue 31-Dec-13 20:20:14

My reindeer antlers are decorated and I am all a quiver!

Galen Tue 31-Dec-13 20:18:08

Is everyone ready?

Nelliemoser Tue 31-Dec-13 20:10:08

I will bring along have brought along all the unopened packets of nibbles I bought for Christmas. The drink will have to be G&T as I don't do whisky. I am intending to arrive by astral projection. I am just preparing myself by winding down. See you soon.

Anyone flying over Suffolk able to pick me up? if not I m going to try this 'go outside bend the knees and take off' idea never tried it before got my sparkly antennae's on hope they'll be as good as a tiara full of cold but perhaps the frosty air will blow it away Got an off the shoulder thingy on and a white furry long top coat feel like I m out of Narnia what time does it start?

newist Tue 31-Dec-13 19:59:04

Galen thank you for organising this party, you have made a lot of people happy. wine

Galen Tue 31-Dec-13 19:33:34

It's what they don't wear under their kilts that makes them so HOTtchgrin

newist Tue 31-Dec-13 19:31:32

Funnily enough I have just made some vodka jelly sweets, just vodka and a jelly, no added extras like water. little heart shaped ones.

LizG Tue 31-Dec-13 18:59:01

Anyone bringing brownies?

AlieOxon Tue 31-Dec-13 18:48:35

I just checked out the Red Hot Chilli Pipers - whoo! I never knew anyone could make an electric guitar sound like bagpipes - and vice versa.....I think we are having a New Year Ceilidh tonight!

I have changed my mind about the cloak, and will wear a plaid instead!

Galen Tue 31-Dec-13 18:45:34

Trust someone has wacky baccy and vodka jellies?

Galen Tue 31-Dec-13 18:44:49

All welcome.

Dragonfly1 Tue 31-Dec-13 18:13:30

Can I come to the party too? I have witch's clothes, fake diamonds and a headband that would pass as a tiara on a dark night....

Soutra Tue 31-Dec-13 17:54:36

sensible dammit.

Soutra Tue 31-Dec-13 17:54:12

Is anybody flying my way (MK?) I feel a bit out of the way as you didn't choose a *sensible venue like Leicester Forest East Services and Balmoral is a heck of a long way - especially as I have to be in Bournemouth by lunchtime.......

withany Tue 31-Dec-13 17:49:14

I'm up for a lift CharleygirI, taking pills now, what time do you want me ready for? My thermal vest and wellies look quite trendy, since I'm not really sure of the dress code in such circles, I have bought a little black dress, yes you can see a bit of vest, but that gives it a bit of interest, black clothing makes me look pasty, but the diamonds lift it a bit.

Soutra Tue 31-Dec-13 17:47:30

My SIL inducted me into the pleasures of "Dark and Stormies" which sounds like the ideal drink for tonight (and the rest of the week) They are absolutely brilliant - you can go on drinking them and they hardly taste alcoholic - until you stand up. (Got very giggly playing "Articulate" after a couple or three on Boxing Day). Highly recommended!
Could be lively out there!

Anne58 Tue 31-Dec-13 17:45:00

PS. Make mine a pint of champagne in a straight glass, hold the cherry.

Anne58 Tue 31-Dec-13 17:43:32

Oh tiggy that sounds pretty grim! How about a cocktail? Kaolin&Morph on the rocks, with a side shot of immodium?

Goose Tue 31-Dec-13 17:39:31

Okay AlieOxon. A Bloody Mary for you, and if you get there first, can you get in a Hobgoblin for me? I've programmed the Vroomstick with Hatnav but we must watch out for fireworks on the way, don't want to end up on the tail end of a rockettchgrin

AlieOxon Tue 31-Dec-13 16:45:49

Goose fine - make mine a Bloody Mary though. At least I can drink here! See you then.
Will bring my autorefilling, any-booze-barrel, hope you can fit it on!

Charley - thanks for the offer, see you there!

PS Granny23 - I want HAGGIS, lots of HAGGIS, I love it!

tiggypiro Tue 31-Dec-13 16:01:39

I think I had better stay at home tonight as I am not sure whether I should sit on the loo or put my head down it.
Have a very good time everyone and a few wee drams of a few single malts on me.

annodomini Tue 31-Dec-13 15:45:06

I too will be otherwise engaged tonight. May be available tomorrow morning to bail out any of you who have to spend the night in the Balmoral dungeon. Have fun.:-D

Galen Tue 31-Dec-13 15:43:22

I shall enjoy the haggis. The last one was super, thanks.
