Good Morning New Years Day

I spoke too soon re it being dry here. It is wet, dark and horrible.

Good morning from a mild Dordogne. Looking like a lovely clear day. We did see the New Year I last night - quite unusual for us ! - I suffered with indigestion during the night but did eventually drop off to sleep. Hope everyone has a good year and for those who had a not so good 2013 - I hope 2014 proves to be a better and calmer year. X x

With regard to the party I have to confess that after sitting in my chair fighting to keep my eyes open at about 9pm I felt so awful I just cleared off to bed at about 10:30pm. Not any alcohol to blame either.

However I slept through until about 8 am which is unusual for me. I think I heard a few fireworks at midnight unless I dreamt them.

For those with hangovers drink plenty of water.

It is dry here at present but still very dark. A happy New Year to all. I am waiting for the next monsoon, probably later today.

I'm back from the GN party.....no hangover of course......I just took two hours to wind down before I could sleep!

Today I probably do NOTHING - unless I take a domestic fit again.

Wet here in north Leicestershire and it looks set in.

DH and DS1 are off to an away game at Reading today so I am going to relish having a totally empty house after all the visitors. It looks as though they will get soaked

Happy New Year from East Sussex and a healthy 2014. Weather here is windy but not raining at the moment.

Happy New Year! Have an excellent lunch [Nina]. Looks like we'll have a quiet day. We usually go to Cromer to watch the fire works on the pier, but the forecast looks like it's going to be too wet and windy. Hopefully the storm will come through early. Cromer needs all the support it can get just now.
