That's useful to know, dusty. I'll tell Minibags that story in the hope she'll learn a bit faster. Not sure I like the idea of seven more years of avoidable sickness, if it is avoidable. Dehydration does seem to have been her major trigger. There were even occasions when she was much younger (7, 9) when she had a really bad headache that turned out to be down to dehydration. It wasn't that I wasn't supplying drinks; she just didn't drink them and I'm not the kind of parent who polices every move. Kids! hmm

Horrid morning here, very grey and now rain as well.

Strange Bags, I was wondering this morning how Minibags was. She is about the age when migraine made my life a misery. None of my children had it but GS1 does. He seems to have just about realized that keeping hydrated and not getting over tired means less attacks but it's taken till he's 20 to achieve that.

Squelchy on our boggy brae. Been out already to lop some more of the greens off the fallen eucalyptus. Lopping hurt my costal joints so have asked MrBags to do some, then I can shred a big pile.
Minibags had migraine aura last night but went straight to bed and seems to have avoided the up-chucking. As soon as she woke up she sat up in bed and started drawing. I ordered her downstairs for a drink. She collected some cream crackers and Brie for breakfast (as well as a drink of water) and went back to her drawing.

Good morning, weather here is bright and dry. We have a funeral on Saturday, DH's Aunt was found dead at home last Saturday. She was only ten yeas older than DH and used to look after him when he was a child. I must say I hate burials but his family like a grave to visit sad

Blue sky and sunshine in Durham too. Isn't it cheering? And DH 's birthday.

Lovely here. Got to go to neighbour's funeral this morning. Hate funerals.

KatyK Thu 02-Jan-14 09:56:51

Lovely in Brum - well from the inside looking out anyway

SUNSHINE! What a shock. Lona, you and me both, that's it, I'm off this computer and out for the day. Have a great day, everyone.

Lona Thu 02-Jan-14 09:50:13

Sun is shining here and it should do all day according to the boffins! smile

I haven't been out since Sunday so a walk is definitely on the cards, that's if I can get my legs moving fast enough!

Kiora Thu 02-Jan-14 09:10:25

Morning Mick. Oh the blessed relief to see the sun and blue sky here in kent. I don't care about the forecast for tomorrow. Today the sun is shining. Don't know what I'll do but I'm doing it outside. Nice walk if I can find a path rather than a muddy path. After i'v hung out the washing to dry I'm off.

Good morning from France - bright and sunny now after a night of heavy rain. Hope the weather where you all are is improved.

Good morning from Malta where the sun is shining after a few very wet days. Am doing the backlog of laundry and this afternoon we are going to the cinema as it is cheaper on a Thursday. Hope you all have a good day, especially those who are struggling with various problems sunshine

Good morning all from East Sussex. It's stopped raining and the sky is a remarkable blue. Won't last though! There is already a weather warning for tomorrow.
Younger DD and 3DGC coming today plus dog so it will be lively.

Good morning everyone. Not raining at the moment but wet under foot. Looking after our 2year old DGS from 6.30 am to 6.30pm today, reckon I should sleep well tonight smile

kittylester Thu 02-Jan-14 07:10:21

Morning Mick, morning everyone, it's too dark to see yet but we are promised a sunny day today before the wind and rain return.

I am doing a Sainsbury shop today and then going to see mum. Normally, I would complain but I am so pleased to be back in a routine that I will enjoy it

Have a great day everyone. sunshine
