Rockgran, it's the fault of the people who called this GRANSnet! I also wasn't sure at first whether I "qualified".

Stansgran Thu 02-Jan-14 17:24:07

Is there an age Limit on netmums or Mumsnet ?

Grannyknot Thu 02-Jan-14 17:23:08

Marelli, I don't want to jinx things! Shhh for a bit longer. smile

Jane, LOL.

I hope we are still "people" and not just defined by our "granny-ness". I'm more worried about a child of 50 being on here! smile

Marelli Thu 02-Jan-14 16:30:29

That was supposed to be a capital 'I' - but it looks like a small 'l'. confused

Marelli Thu 02-Jan-14 16:29:12

Oooh! Grannyknot - are you perhaps going to be a GrannyIs ? smile

janerowena Thu 02-Jan-14 16:27:14

And there was me thinking that you were married to a sailor or something... hmm

Grannyknot Thu 02-Jan-14 16:23:07

Hi, desertmum I wish I was 50! At 64, I don't have any grandchildren either, hence my name is a play on Granny (not)!

I've a funny feeling though wink that I may soon have to apply for a change of name smile

desertmum Thu 02-Jan-14 16:16:52

thank you for the welcomes! I do have kids, but hoping not to be a grandma too soon!

janerowena Thu 02-Jan-14 15:53:46

We aren't just grandmas, are we? Not by a long chalk. I wasn't even all that happy when I found out that I was going to be a grandma, although I love them dearly now. I'm just hanging on in my 50s.

Gagagran Thu 02-Jan-14 15:53:08

I had a wonderful 50th birthday but tinged now with a bit of sadness as it was the last time all my siblings and Mum and Dad were together. Great memory though.

kittylester Thu 02-Jan-14 15:50:46
