Hello
Sorry, not a grandparent, but no point in posting this on the usual forums I use as no-one will even know about Pre-WW2 music hall!
Does anyone know anything about a performer from before WW2 (we think), who appeared at the Woolwich Empire, called Sonny Belman? The spelling may not be right, we think he may have been a comedian but we're not sure.
My mum is into genealogy, and as part of our research, she thinks we may be distantly related to him, but other than this vague description, we don't know anything. We're not even sure he exists, actually, it was just a tale from an elderly relative who vaguely recalled a cousin's marriage and this name came up, and the Woolwich Empire. Any clues?
Thanks
