Helicopter Crash

I feel very sorry for the families of those killed too, but why so much weaponry. Feel there might be more to come from this.

When I lived near to Lakenheath there were many American airmen who I was church with - I can only imagine the sorrow being felt by the men's (women's?) families and the affected communities.

It really is sad, I am not sure what it was doing flying low over a National Nature Reserve, there are certain restrictions that should be upheld. I do feel for the families of those lost.

My recollection of that part of north Norfolk was of the peace, isolation and beauty. Must be desolate this time of year. What a tragedy but nobody on the ground killed unlike Glasgow

I guess they will have to take the wreck apart to recover the bodies and that would destroy evidence that could save the lives of other crews.

*Brenda8 I know is seems harsh to us , but they have to be able to piece together what happened ! So presumably evidence cannot be tampered with !
I did hear it may have been engine failure .

We had a few days in Cley just before Christmas. It must be very bleak today. Are they not still picking up ammunition, * Brenda*. No sense in risking more lives.

I have personal experience of the death of a close relative in a military plane crash and my deepest sympathies go out to anyone and everyone affected. I also personally feel that it is very disrespectful to the casualties that they are not yet removed from the crash 24 hours later in case that removal damages 'evidence'.
