Ana: I do read the price per gram, and certainly where I shop (Tesco) I have noticed that the refills usually work out more expensive unless on special offer.

It's Nestle. They need to make as much money as they can because some people are still boycotting them.

(or more usually, per 100g)

The refills are usually cheaper. Just read the supermarket price label on the shelf, which will tell you the price per gram.

... Nescafe refill packs are 150g but the jars are either 100 or 200g?

It couldn't be to make it less obvious that the refills are usually (unless on offer) more expensive than the jars, could it? hmm
