Husband today was muttering about a woman we know who is in her mid-fifties, but is still very much a 'party animal' and generally behaves like a teenager. He said "She has three lovely daughters, she should be glad enough to find contentment in looking after her family, and if she wants excitement she can, you know, go on Gransnet like you!" grin

Jokes aside, I suspect he is very pleased of the times I happily browse the forums and leave him in peace to watch the footie (and updating him with edited versions from time to time!)

Thank you GN forum friends for the company.

I think. a "virtual party book" should be written grin best seller I reckon grin lol (of course it would be for over 18s only due to the goings on)!! 49 Shades of GN I can see it on the 2nd shelf now lol

It is just great the best thing going! Out of interest I had a peep at "granny net" it seems very boring in comparison. |It's coming up to two years now ?May or June 2012. I joined a bit after DD announced she was pregnant.

...and does anyone remember thatbags being found slumped slumbering on some dog or other, the morning after, by the cleaner? She thought that the dog was a furry rug. It was extremely good natured. The pub has since closed down. That particular party made front page in the Sun [I think!] [ wink

Grannyknot Mon 20-Jan-14 20:56:07

pogs funny!

And you lot all make me laugh with the parties, I better get out of the kitchen (Soop's Kitchen) and into some of the bars! Maybe once I'm retired later this year wink At the moment I can barely keep up with the "normal life" threads LOL.

Biker

Your Blackpool tale has reminded me of a funny thing that happened to me and a few friends in Mablethorpe.

We were sunbathing whilst two of the blokes were fishing off the sands. One of them shouted 'Hey look, there's a seal out there'. Naturally we all starting looking out to sea but we soon started laughing. It was his wax jacket which had 'blown' presumably with water. Cost him a small fortune as it had his car keys and mobile phone in the pockets.

bikergran Mon 20-Jan-14 20:12:12

anno a while ago in one of my posts I had to explain that whilst I was led on the beach at Blackpool, sunning myself with one of my inflatable friends (could only fit one on the back of the bike)..I glanced up and there he was!! floating out to see, slowing deflating (poor thing he was never the same after the Halloween party)!! had a few punctures(some of the revellers) no names mentioned got a bit shall we say "rough" with him! shock but I have a new friend now grin Eric smile

annodomini Mon 20-Jan-14 19:46:16

Huh? what who was it who got arrested? Need an 'edit' button.

annodomini Mon 20-Jan-14 19:44:46

Our very first party - Halloween on Pendle Hill was pretty memorable. That's when the broomsticks made their first appearance and whatever happened to your inflatable friends, biker? What was it who got arrested? grin

Icyalittle Mon 20-Jan-14 19:14:15

Parties? There are parties?

bikergran Mon 20-Jan-14 19:03:00

Charleygirl Mon 20-Jan-14 18:37:54

palliser65 most are quietly waiting for the men in white coats to arrive. The others are waiting for their evening injection.

palliser65 Mon 20-Jan-14 17:38:04

Only been on here 24 hours and very much enjoy the company.

glammanana Mon 20-Jan-14 17:29:19

What we got up to at Glastonbury would have made your OH's hair curl GN I never want to meet that Policeman again in all my life grin oh those vodka jellies have been the death of me at some of the parties,we must be due another one soon wink

Nelliemoser Mon 20-Jan-14 17:14:22

My OH does not comment at all on my GN use. I have a sneaking suspicion he may have found out things I have said about him which in general are not complementary. He buries his head in the sand and refuses to discuss anything. Anyway he spends far more hours on his computer than I spend on GN.

soop Mon 20-Jan-14 17:07:37

Galen I couldn't attend. I heard that it was a blast! grin

Galen Mon 20-Jan-14 17:02:16

Sorry disagree. I think the best one was the one on Glastonbury tor!

soop Mon 20-Jan-14 16:20:11

One of the most memorable virtual parties that I can recall, was held in my room at Ross Hall [after hip surgery]...the place hasn't been the same since. What's more, the hip got well in next to no time. grin

ffinnochio Mon 20-Jan-14 15:32:15

bikergran Mon 20-Jan-14 14:34:10
