Good morning Michael, the light is just beginning to creep over the hills. Cold today but no snow on the tops. Off to my sewing class today. It's lovely and warm in college. Thinking about what I'm making is a welcome break from feeling as if I'm drowning in grief.

I have a misty three quarter moon over the car park and broken fence in the west! Not as poetic somehow as your hills Sewsilver. Enjoy your sewing class, may it lift your spirits. flowers

Good morning from East Sussex, weather calm and frosty.
The dog was upset last night so DH allowed him to sleep with us. DH and dog slept well I didn't.
A couple of months ago the carbon monoxide alarm in the kitchens battery ran down and it started beeping thoroughly upsetting said dog. Since then increasingly reluctant to go to bed. Tried everything. Pherasone sprays, my jumpers, the cat for company nothing has worked. I may sleep elsewhere tonight but know dog would follow me!

Thank you NfkDumpling and Kiora for support. Brendawymms, the image of the three of you in bed, Dh and dog peacefully asleep, you not, made me smile.it would be a wonderful cartoon. Although I'm sure it wasn't funny in the middle of the night.

Bad start to my day - I snapped a shoelace and I don't think I have any spare ones. Oh bum! Looks like I shall be going out in jeans and brown shoes.

Morning all, it's a chilly one so far.
sewsilver I hope your feelings lift as the day goes on flowers

My hand is very painful today (OA) which makes a change from my knees!

Good morning bright and frosty in Cheshire.
This morning I am going to a U3A knitting and crochet group. I already attend another knitting club.

As in the non U3A club one, we are horribly irreverent. The conversation does at times get raucous and even lewd.

The average age of the U3A group might be about 10 yrs older than my current one, all mid 60 somethings. I will have to mind my P's and Q's, this morning. No wry comments, throw away one liners, or innuendo. I do not want to get thrown out for unseemly behaviour on my first visit .
I will be good!

Good morning from a bright north east. It was slightly frosty first thing but it is all gone now.

Just been watching the 'city of Oslo' gliding up the channel.

Morning all, bet that's a lovely sight Galen

It's a lovely, bright, crisp day here in the East Midlands but flipping cold! sunshine

Out for lunch with 3 friends at the pub at the top of the road wine

DD2 and the children are still with us as the men doing their floor ran out of adhesive! DH is taking them home on Wednesday. [phewemoticon]

DGD did a poo on the potty this morning - thought you'd all like to know that. Unfortunately, a couple of hours later, she didn't. [oops]

Good morning, well it should be good afternoon. Bit late today, had really hectic weekend with daughters ex staying, and boy can he eat, and plus spends upward of 20mins in the power shower, clothes and coffee cups everywhere and doesn't go to bed until the early hours. Lots of doors slamming lights on, hence little or no sleep. Topped with all that cracked ribs are giving me big grief. He has left at last and I am rejoicing. Shall not be accommodating him again. Feeling tired and run down today, just hope spirits lift a little as the day goes on. Sorry I sound like a big moan. sad

AlieOxon Mon 20-Jan-14 12:07:43

'Arternoon all'. Bit late today as gardener came early and I didn't get on the computer until now...

Goodness Nellie, your U3A must be a lot more staid than mine!

Nelliemoser Mon 20-Jan-14 17:25:40

Allie The knitting group appears to be! Well maybe, they did not want to be seen to be unseemly in front of a newcomer in case they offended my sensibilities.
I will not give up my other one. Its the only time of the week I get to laugh!
