Horrible day. Even the archery has been cancelled. Not that I could shoot anyway because of my shoulder.

harrigran Sun 26-Jan-14 11:51:21

Good morning from a sleeting, windy north east. Going to see GC but it will be indoor play only as where they live is two overcoats colder than here grin

Woke up around 06:30 (for the usual reason) looked out at the weather and went back to bed! A day for staying in and watching the TV, I think.

Good morning everyone, it's a beautiful bright sunny morning here and because the wind has dropped, it feels really warm.
I picked some almond blossom earlier, it made me feel guilty but in the last 10 years I haven't seen anyone crop the tree so it must need a little pruning now. blush
Glad you are feeling a bit better Thistle, up there in the frozen north. Don't do too much

Songbird I hope you and your friend enjoy your lunch. flowers]

Kiora Sun 26-Jan-14 10:32:01

Morning Mick & all still grey in kent. No sign of the torrential rain YET. Songbird it will be a very poignant day for you and your friend. I expect you will share lots of lovely memories. I'm sure your friend would be so relieved that her husband and best friend could comfort, support each other while sharing memories of her. It's such a sensible thing to do. Berdie enjoy. 9 months is such a lovely age. Dimples, smiles ooh lovey. No better way to spend a Sunday. Lots of my Sundays were spent in that way. Unfortunately my youngest grandchild is almost 2. Old enough to know their own mind and need to kept occupied. Lovely but hard work.

The lashing rain and tossing trees has just arrived in East Sussex.

annodomini Sun 26-Jan-14 10:26:06

Lashing rain, tossing trees. Waiting to hear from GD who is in Manchester this weekend. She won't be awake yet, as there was a birthday 'do' last night.

Good morning from East Sussex. Calm and grey here at the moment. We don't get the rain until later. May get snow later in the week as we are quite high here. Bit of a hangover from the Virtual Burns night party! grin

kittylester Sun 26-Jan-14 09:05:08

Good morning all. Raining in North Leicestershire - what's new?

Our expected visitors ( DD1 and family) didn't come yesterday as they all had a sickness bug sad but we had a takeaway and a restful evening smile. They are, however, all coming for lunch so I'd better get moving!

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

Songbird9 Sun 26-Jan-14 08:54:06

Good Morning to you.
Out for usual Sunday lunch later.
Sundays used to be so lonely and long, but I lost a dear friend on this day two years ago, so, her Husband and I decided to get over the horrid Sundays and go for lunch at a local pub every Sunday. Nothing in it except we are friends and support each other when either of us feel down. Today will be emotional for us both as we miss her terribly. I lost my Husband in September 2010 and I know he wouldn't want me to feel depressed and possibly drink too much wine today !
Enjoy your day

Nelliemoser Sun 26-Jan-14 08:46:45

Good morning from Cheshire. Yuk to the weather. some sunshine sunshine sunshine urgently needed around here.

However, thinking about the poor people in floods in the south I should not make a fuss.
