Oh dear. More gale force winds south westerlies on Saturday combined with another really high tide. Batten down the coastal hatches all over again. sad

You live really near the sea Jess? it must be a worry for you and a lot of people at the moment. I live in the middle of the country where it's usually dry, but there has been non stop rain here too, the fields are lakes full of floating seagulls!More to come too, I think [rain not seagulls.]

I have been sewing in the conservatory and there is water coming down the wall - not seriously thank goodness. But every now and again a big gust of wind would make me duck as the windows shook!

Very windy here in Cheshire, the effect of the wind is magnified by the noise it makes, moaning through the big conifers that overshadow the end of my garden.

Not on an exposed coast here - but it was a high tide and the wind was behind it, and still blowing hard behind tonight's tide.
