I have just purchased a ticket for The Case of the Curious Dog in the Night time. It is being live-streamed to my local cinema in May. I have read the book and cannot wait. #excitedasonecanbe

Said Alice!

confused

I'm pretty sure that Alice said nothing at all about any dog, curious or not, and either day or night time.

Although she did say "Curioser and Curiouser !!

Erm, at least I think she did [confusd]

Quite! Combine that with 'they're changing guards at Buckingham palace
Christopher Robin went down with Alice
Alice is marrying one of the guard
A soldiers life is terrible hard!
Said Alice!

Isn't it called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time? [once a pedant, always…icon]

The stage performance is apparently being resumed (after the fire) from the Gielgud Theatre on 25 June so I wonder where it's being streamed from in May?confused

Although I loved the book, I was disappointed when we saw it streamed to our local cinema. I don't know whether it was because it was the first 'streamed' performance we had seen or the fact that it was done in the round, I'm not sure. I'd love to hear what you think. smile

Hope the ceiling does not fall in then.

DH & I had tickets to see this at the Apollo at the beginning of the year, however the ceiling falling down scuppered that. I'm hoping it tours as we've not plans to return to London this year.

The book was terrific, it is on my 'read again' list.

Hope you enjoy the performance Flower

I'm enjoying the cinema streaming of NT plays live. I saw Coriolanus on Thursday, it was a great production, the acting was brilliant. The cinema was almost full - great idea. We saw a trail for The Curious Incident, which is being screened in June and we're planning to see that as well. King Lear next though - in May. What a good idea it is, not quite as good as the theatre live, but at £10 a ticket, a lot cheaper than a trip to London from the north.

I saw it on stage and it was very good - it should stream well.

Yes absent, I think I got carried away with excitement - of course it is the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. Silly me blush Blonde moment and senior moment combined.

Flowerofthewest Sat 01-Feb-14 10:05:51

OR maybe the dog was curious confused

Flowerofthewest Sat 01-Feb-14 10:07:50

Oh darn, well not darn, we're in Greece, so will miss it. Still, mustn't grumble, north west england, greece - tough choice in May isn't it.
