On the A303 heading for Hampshire for DGS3's 4th birthday. It is a glorious day, and the
moors were dusted with snow. Hope it stays there!

Good morning everyone, grey and damp today with rain threatened. Yesterday brightened up later so we might be lucky.
Nice to see you Printmiss smile

Enjoy the weekend everyone. sunshine

Good morning everyone, nice morning here just a bit blustery. My elderly Aunt and Uncle [my godparents] moved into a nice nursing home in Southampton yesterday so plan on phoning them at 10 30 to see how they are doing. Quite a sad day for them yesterday having to leave their home for the last time. I do feel relieved to know that they will now be cared for, its been a long road to get this all to happen. I do hope they will be happy and that the choice of home is the right one. Fingers crossed. No other special plans today except to watch Wales play rugby in Cardiff. Will be singing the Welsh national anthem loudly from here in Scotland. shock

sunshine in Brum but very windy

Brendawymms Sat 01-Feb-14 09:46:23

Sunny at the moment in East Sussex but what a rough night. Gale force wind and driving rain. That all stopped about 4am. Now it's calm and bright with next lot of rain due lunchtime just as I go out for my shift in the Hospice Retail shop (aka Charity shop).

Blue sky and brisk breeze. The thermometer at the back door says zero but there's no sign of ice or hoar frost.

Bez Sat 01-Feb-14 09:28:06

Good morning everyone. Wet, wet, wet here in Dordogne with grey sky - lots of fairly minor flooding around - minor in that it is the farmers' fields rather than homes. It does affect their planting though and in some cases the harvest they get later.

A sunny morning here in Loughborough

PRINTMISS Sat 01-Feb-14 08:57:57

Pinch, punch, first of the month, and white rabbits, all of which leads to hello everyone, I am not mentioning the 'r' word, except to say that we were supposed to be travelling to see friends and our family later, but because of the weather forecast, we postponed this, and look what happens - a lovely morning! (the forecast is not good though!) Enjoy your days.

Bellasnana Sat 01-Feb-14 08:34:38

Morning all. Dreadful weather here in Malta. However, the constant rain is welcome as it is helping to wash away the aftermath of yesterday's sandstorm which covered the island in orange muck!
Hope you all enjoy your Saturday sunshine

LizG Sat 01-Feb-14 08:33:15

Just at this morning we have sunshine and blue skies. This was not the forecast so I don't expect it to last. Best get a shift on to take the dog for her first walk of the day. Have a good day everyone.

Gagagran Sat 01-Feb-14 08:26:19

Only two loos Kiora but both immaculate - Mr G has always been i/c toilets so I am very lucky. I've just picked some very pretty heather for the table. It was a choice of hellebores or heather and the latter won.

Lona Sat 01-Feb-14 08:21:37

Morning!
I'm hoping the weather forecast is wrong hmm as I'm going to see my dd and dgds, and driving those particular roads in windy wet stuff isn't good.
It's actually dryish and the sun is out at the moment shock

Hope you all enjoy your weekend. smile

thatbags Sat 01-Feb-14 08:09:23

Copy and paste day today - grey and miserable sad

I have a trip to John Lewis planned to take back the expensive purse that DH bought me for Christmas. It has already started to wear on the corners. shock

Morning Mick, Mild very mild here in kent. I expected to get up this morning to torrential rain and or frost and very cold snap. That's what I thought the forecasters were warning. Oh well perhaps it's late arriving. Never heard of Elly Griffiths nankate. Will investigate on goggle. Enjoy your day. I'v only been to Windsor once. 1979 If memory serves but I liked it. Have a nice lunch and enjoy your catchup Gaganan. How many loo's have you got. It was my little 'bonus' baby's(she's our 8th grandchild, an unexpected surprise hence the nickname) birthday so both families are off to one of those pubs with a ball park. You know the type 2-4-1 cheap & cheerful. But we will all have a drink or two and talk about how beautiful our grandchildren are. Now I'm wittering. Have a good day take care just in case the weather does turn nasty.

Gagagran Sat 01-Feb-14 07:26:27

Old friends coming for lunch today en route back home after a short break so I was up early. Table is set, menu is planned and DH is on standby to clean the loos - what a good boy! Hope the day is kind to everyone. sunshine

NanKate Sat 01-Feb-14 07:16:35

And good morning to you too. Sunny cold day ahead so off to Windsor to buy the latest Elly Griffiths book called 'Outcast Dead'. Don't be put off by the title her books are a fab read. Maybe have a nice warming cup of coffee at the Eton Costa Coffee shop first, such lovely staff in there. Must stop wittering on and get myself ready.
