Vegasmags Are you tempted by the retired greyhound idea or are they too big?

when - I'm sure there's something in your analysis! That pup was certainly the stuff of nightmares.

Mornin'. Bright and clear here so far - and I have workmen in next door again.

Grey, drizzly and damp in Kent..as usual. Were off up north tomorrow to visit wayward daughter and 2 grandsons then on to lovely sister., then 2 sets of much loved 'oldies'. Not looking forward to the different beds. Will return to kent with empty pockets and weary bones. Take care all of you south westerners hope thing improve soon.

Good morning from the sunny north east, the forecast is poor for the weekend. Off to Northumberland for lunch.

Agus Fri 07-Feb-14 10:43:31

sunshine even!

Beautiful sunny day here in W Scotland. Nice to feel that spring isn't too far away and can start pottering in the garden again. Having my first coffee in the garden is one of life's pleasures for me.

Hope all GN's in S England aren't suffering too much and weather conditions take a turn for the better soon..

[sun] for LizG and all to share in the meantime.

vegas I've analysed your dream and you're obviously musing about your next pet and whether you'll be able to manage it. grin How about a lion dog? grin

There is just a cheering layer of blue amongst the clouds here in Manchester. Slept fitfully until 3 am and then gave up and came downstairs to fall asleep on the sofa under the electric blanket. I dreamed that my father had brought home a lion and I was frantically feeding it chocolate chip cookies in an attempt to calm it!!

Lovely so far!

Very damp but not quite raining. I've just delivered the car to the garage because the driver's door is emitting an excruciating screech when I open it and I think a gust of wind must have caught it and done something to the hinges.

PRINTMISS Fri 07-Feb-14 08:39:41

Hello from the south coast, and it is dry with what looks like sun (pale) in the sky. It is very windy, which will help dry things out a bit, but we are promised heavy rain again over the weekend.

Brendawymms Fri 07-Feb-14 08:18:40

Still raining, but only slightly in East Sussex. It's coming to something when you have to check the tide timetable before going to meet friends in Lewes. The tide will be going out so hopefully safe. Another battering tomorrow.

LizG Fri 07-Feb-14 07:29:37

Good morning all. I am afraid the problems with the Somerset levels still goes on (I don't live in that part of Somerset) although there is a slight respite today. The South West is forecast to have a huge battering tomorrow again sad. perhaps some virtual sunshine is called for to cheer us all up.

Morning to the early risers. It's damp, grey and soggy here in the Thames Valley but a reasonably pleasant day has been forecast for here today - hurray! grin

Morning everyone!

It's still dark in my bit of north Leicestershire but there is an ominous pattering on the window.

I have to go and stock up on fruit etc this morning and then expect a visit from DGS2 and DGD3 plus their mum, DD3, this afternoon.

I feel so sad for the people in the SW but it must be such a relief to them that Chris Smith has deigned to visit! Hope he can find his wellies!

Enjoy your days all!

What am I doing up? Woke at 5am after an early night. It's fine and dry here in South Manchester, and today I'm going to plant some window boxes with cheerful spring bedding. Can't wait for those longer days. I hope everyone in the south is starting to see the end of the terrible floods and damage along the coast and waterways. I dread switching the news on, for fear of hearing that it's happened yet again.
