sunseeker what a kind and thoughtful man to do that for you.

Isn't it lovely when someone does something quite without being asked, and making the day seem brighter. As they say, it is the little things that count.

I am also feeling lucky. Yesterday we were in Normandy cowering as the storm blew over head and dreading our return journey by ferry today.

Yesterday evening the wind died down, it stayed light and trouble free all night and for our journey home. It was just building up again as we passed the Isle of Wight into the shelter of the Solent. It was such a relief. I felt very lucky!

Can I perhaps borrow him? Just for a day or two, you understand...?

That was a very kind thought.

Reading poor Dragonflys post about having a bad day made me realise how lucky I am. I mentioned to my sister in law the other day that I needed to chop some kindling for my fire and bring some logs up from the garage. I got back from shopping today to find her husband had been and I now have a large pile of kindling and the log store is restocked. He has been in pain with a shoulder injury and when I rang to say thanks she said he was feeling a bit better and wanted to get out of the house for a while - I only hope doing this for me hasn't aggravated his shoulder! I really am very very lucky.
