The wind is now ferocious , the trees out the back are bent double and things will be going 'bump' all night I'm sure. Maybe a wakeful night around here, stay safe everyone.

have lost the torch I normally keep by my bed and to shine outside so the dog can see to wee - so am waiting on the moon reappearing.
I am in Herefordshire on a bit of an exposed hill and although not flooded have rain coming in gaps in windows and down the chimney - but just keep mopping.
the wind is ferocious and I can hear the tin roof on the large shed banging so think sleep will be difficult tonight.
my thoughts are very much with those who have it worse. Miraculously both phone and leccy are still going.

I am in Wiltshire Brendawymms fields at the back so safe there, but my neighbour, who is in her nineties, has tall trees in front of her house and is quite frightened tonight.

I think I ought to light a candle for you, might have to anyway the lights keep flickering!!

Talking of Scotland. Well we weren't but you'll get my drift (excuse the pun)
BBC is doing Lambing Live again in March and this year it's from the Scottish borders. Bet they're glad they didn't choose Somerset.

oops, must have got carried away .....

Heavens - I hope you are all keeping safe.
I have just admonished a young friend for complaining that it took her an extra hour to drive home this afternoon - it was snowing. FFS we live in Scotland and it's February, what does she expect angry I reminded her that she was now home, safe, warm and dry and was not paddling about in 4' of s***. Perhaps I over did it a little, but I was cross.

Like a monsoon this afternoon, but not as warm. We were driving in Gloucestershire, just horrendous, DH was driving and there was nowhere to stop safely. Now I can hear occasional fierce gusts of wind outside.

Very wet and windy on the fens, We can't grumble as we are not flooded (yet) but last night was the first quiet night for ages.

In East Sussex after torrential rain all day the wind is now really scary. We have nothing between us and the Channel so we are getting the full force and it does not reach its peek for about another four hours. Help.
Where are you alternativegran

Wind whistling and howling, more fence panels down, their posts uprooted, I have just rescued the bins, morning can't come soon enough. What's the weather like with everyone else?
