When we have children in terrible poverty in this country. This money could have gone on Hospitals, Education and child poverty.

I do love Prince William but this is un acceptable.

Utility/laundry room?

thatbags Thu 20-Mar-14 16:23:10

14 plus two dressing rooms and a boudoir is 17 plus a kitchen (bet there are two kitchens, one private) makes it at least 18.

gillybob Thu 20-Mar-14 16:06:35

A dressing room each is a bit steep but okay I guess, so that brings us up to 15 and if we add a kitchen 16. So we just need 4. What about that dog of their's does that need a room?

Just thought they probably need a cinema room so that leaves us with 3.

Sheds are usually away from the main house though jingle so can't possible count as a room. no matter how often your DH is sent to his smile

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Mar-14 15:53:15

My DH inhabits his shed more than he does my the living room. So, it's a room.

Ana Thu 20-Mar-14 15:45:08

Oh, and they'll have a Dressing Room each!

thatbags Thu 20-Mar-14 15:41:09

There has to be a boudoir for Kate or it doesn't count as a palace.

Ana Thu 20-Mar-14 15:25:23

Surely a kitchen is counted as a room? confused

gillybob Thu 20-Mar-14 15:16:57

No you can't possibly include sheds jingle no matter how posh they might be ! and who the hell needs 3 sheds anyway?

Okay so we are up to 14 including two offices. What about the other 6?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Mar-14 15:05:11

We've got nine, twelve if you include the sheds.

merlotgran Thu 20-Mar-14 15:04:03

There will no doubt be a couple of offices. I think they both have diary secretaries.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Mar-14 15:03:38

Let it go, Lady!!! grin

gillybob Thu 20-Mar-14 14:59:48

I don't think toilets and bathrooms are counted as "rooms" in estate agents speak.

So perhaps it is 5 bedrooms, 1 formal sitting room, 1 informal sitting room, 1 family room, 1 playroom, 1 library, 1 informal dining room, 1 formal dining room ..........okay I am struggling now.

annodomini Thu 20-Mar-14 14:52:05

Doubtless all five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Then there will be a massive playroom. Obviously there will be a big dining room and a butler's pantry...
Galen, mine is a 'little terraced house' and I don't have plural toilets, utility or conservatory... I wish... I think your definition of 'little' is wanting.

Galen Thu 20-Mar-14 14:35:16

I've just counted mine. If yo include toilets bathroom utility and conservatory mine has 11 and it's only a little terraced house.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Mar-14 14:06:31

Kitchen? Bathrooms? Lavs? Suites for the formal entertaining that may be expected of them?

I dunno.

gillybob Thu 20-Mar-14 14:04:05

Well I am easily confused, but if it is a 20 room apartment and only 5 are bedrooms what the hell are the other 15 rooms used for?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Mar-14 13:55:35

Bye!!! Mwah

J52 Thu 20-Mar-14 13:50:58

I was just being mischievous! I'm off to The Tower now! Bye x

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Mar-14 13:48:10

It does say it's a five bedroom apartment which doesn't seem ott if they have three children. All children would like their own room.

J52 Thu 20-Mar-14 13:41:43

I should have added: after all they have to share rooms at boarding school!! X

J52 Thu 20-Mar-14 13:39:51

If they have another baby, couldn't they share a bedroom? I'm sure that's the case for many of our DGCs. X

Nonu Thu 20-Mar-14 13:12:49

How ever many more children they have , unless it runs into double figures , 20 rooms does seem a bit excessive IMO

gillybob Thu 20-Mar-14 13:08:13

I wonder how many kids they would need to have to fill that place anno ?not forgetting nannies, servants, butlers, cooks, bottlewashers, toothpaste squeezers..................... confused

gillybob Thu 20-Mar-14 13:05:57

If they are (as often suggested) doing a "job", then the home provided should be taxable or else they should pay full market value in rent.

Not forgetting of course that they are "just like any other young couple with a baby" yeah right!

annodomini Thu 20-Mar-14 13:02:17

They may not always be a family of three. Perhaps they expect to have a few more. It would be a pity if wee Georgie were to be an only child.
