Fancy writing a group limerick ?

(Too many syllables in that last line - and I'm saying NO MORE on the subject!)

Think I will stay out of this.

It's not a row, argument or nastiness! It's just a difference of opinion about the properties a limerick should have.

I've said my piece and I stand by it but it seems people's perceptions of rhythm differ, and I accept that.

(And yes, I do realise I said I'd say no more on the subject...)

East-er is a time for rejoicing

So stop these concerns you are voicing,

And let's have some fun

And pen the odd pun

And lets have no effin and coicing.

Elegran (Coicing? ) It's not in my Oxford reference dictionary. I challenge you under scrabble rules.

Suggest 'blinding' ?

(It rhymes with "rejoicing" and is how someone from Brooklyn would say "cursing"

As in
"Take back your mink
Take back your poils
What makes you think
I am one of those goils?")

Right I am with it now! I will go with that, I didn't have clue what the word was supposed to mean. It goes with the effin.

Rhymes for *oicing are few and far between.

It was challenging. With time to think it could have been fudged with something like boys sing.

papaoscar sets us up with these. I suspect he sits at home all day planning hard rhymes.

He taxes our grey cells

With poetic death knells

And efforts at rhyming - in vain.
