...that I can use in place of "bugger off".

Please, dear gransnetters.

Bugger off seems fine to me

mrsmopp Thu 22-May-14 16:03:17

"Or, as they say in Polish, Pissky Offsky."

(They don't really say that in Polish, but it can raise a laugh without offending anyone).

BeeWitch Thu 22-May-14 15:31:34

Perhaps 'go away impolitely' - at best they will and at worst give you an odd look ...

FlicketyB Thu 22-May-14 15:28:20

Scheisse, the German word for Merde (French), comes of the tongue better.

suelowe Thu 22-May-14 13:33:52

Maybe not more polite, but I like "Sod that for a game of soldiers !"

AlieOxon Thu 22-May-14 12:45:44

jcdoh it was translated for me by google translate

Atqui Thu 22-May-14 12:09:14

Way beyond the call of duty!

POGS Thu 22-May-14 12:07:42

A bit like 'El Torro PooPoo' --- Bull S--t grin

jcdoh Thu 22-May-14 09:48:04

liked most comments-- but the tywarchen bont , I thought perfect and funny too !

tywarchen bont -means turf bridge--so turf is a sod of earth and bridge is between two safe places - or jump off ?

dywarchen I ffwrdd- was not translated ?

mamaa Wed 21-May-14 23:40:05

I find that 'do one', usually works! Said with venom of course!

POGS Wed 21-May-14 23:02:56

Why would you be told off by GN for saying bollocks.

confused

Galen Wed 21-May-14 22:56:41

What's wrong with bollocks?
I startled one of my clinical tutors by using the word when being been told that you could have a female haemophiliac.
I was correct. He was just testing us, but didn't expect THAT word from the nice polite, refined Miss B

Silverfish Wed 21-May-14 22:11:40

B.......cks I will be told off by GNHQ if I print the full word but it works for me. lol . if just part of anatomy after all

Grannyknot Wed 21-May-14 20:08:10

Oops just saw there's no question of payment. So the word "free" would have to be inserted in front of the word "services", and drop the rest smile.

Let us know what you do in the end, Bags.

Grannyknot Wed 21-May-14 19:57:45

"Request to those who would like to use my services in the future: run it by me first so I can check whether the effort is worth the outcome, and I'll let you know what the chances are of success. Also, pay me." grin

Galen Wed 21-May-14 19:51:48

You can't be serious man!

harrigran Wed 21-May-14 19:21:02

Scheibenkleister, sounds rude but it isn't.

suzied Wed 21-May-14 18:55:21

Shut the front door....

merlotgran Wed 21-May-14 18:37:45

'In Your Dreams, Sunshine' sunshine

MiceElf Wed 21-May-14 17:56:19

Go and read the Equalities Act

ffinnochio Wed 21-May-14 17:52:34

B Wondering if you included your suggested comment. I thought it perfectly pitched. smile

AlieOxon Wed 21-May-14 16:50:13

To me it's an alternative to 'Oh s**t'.....

Lilygran Wed 21-May-14 13:07:46

Not entirely sure what the problem is but if they are claiming to be helpful to people with disabilities but only on their terms, they need to be told! Equal opportunities rules supreme. grin

Aka Wed 21-May-14 12:21:39

Why say anything? Just perfect The Look

annodomini Wed 21-May-14 11:56:54

I had a rather prim mature student who, when she wanted to express annoyance, would say, 'Oh, buttercups and daisies'. But I don't think that's quite your style, Bags.
