I visit London to see family about 8 or 9 times a year - there's a great train service from Manchester. I arrive at Euston, hop on the tube and only go 3 stops to my destination. I usually have a small suitcase but am often lugging miscellaneous stuff, ranging from home made cakes to curtains I have run up for them and so on. Almost without fail, if the tube is crowded and I have to stand, some polite young man will offer me his seat and if I am struggling up the stairs, some kind stranger will give me a hand. I am very grateful for any help, but wonder if other GNetters have the same experience. I like to think I am a fit 65, but possibly I look more decrepit than I feel.
So Harry and family are coming back!
