..perhaps it would have been a good idea to check that Smokey Robinson could still sing before they booked him
...
Lovely photo of a lovely young man, soop
Soop, how I laughed at the story of your grandma and the wee snifter!
Bellasnana, hope all goes well with your DH and his next course. Hope too that your SIL will be OK .
The weather here has been lowering all day until about 5.30pm when it became hot and sunny for a while.
Just watching the concert from a misty Edinburgh Castle and marvelling at some of the wonderful musicians who are 'backing' some (to my mind) far less talented singers and rappers
Need a
lovely pic, soop. So young!
Thank you, Charleygirl
Back for a quick addition to the album. My eldest son has shared this photo of his youngest son. I'm thrilled with it. He looks so "grown up". Next weekend he'll be 15...the following day, his big sister who is 25, graduates from art college. Their middle brother graduated last year. A very uplifting moment when a Nana looks at the younger generation with a big, warm grin on her silly old face.
soop that is a lovely photo of your maternal grandmother and I can definitely see the likeness. Your baby boy is also very handsome. I am describing the 2 legged fellow, the 4 legged boy knows that he is! Great that you found such a lovely photo.
Bella I hope that all goes well from Tuesday onwards for your DH. His sister sounds as though she is in need of GN hugs and
.
Great excitement for you Grannyknot you will hardly be able to contain yourself, you will be bursting with pride for all concerned.
It is so hot and humid in London that food for once, is the last thing on my mind.
I can hardly bear to log off. I'm all of a dither for Grannyknot However, needs must. It is time to dash around with a feather duster and appear to be in housewife-mode. Just jesting. I'm off to read the Telegraph from cover to cover. Need to work up an appetite for Saturday evening treats: G&T; roast chicken followed by treacle tart; Montalbano... Until tomorrow.
gk
Marevllous!
I can access Facebook when I first log on, but thereafter the puter goes on strike and I'm stuck in no man's land. All too time wasting, so I have to give up.
All the best, gknot! I hope both big events go splendidly. You'll be shattered but happy
Grannyknot This is a really exciting time. So your son is likely to miss the wedding then?
I hope both events go well.
This is a day not to forget GK - let us know what happens!
AlieO Keep fighting the good fight. You will succeed and all the silliness and stress will cease.
Grannyknot Whoopee do dah! Super news update. Keep us all in the loop...as they say...whoever they may be.
bags I've been trying on and off all morning to get into Facebook. The whirly do-da goes round for such a long time and nowt else happens. Also, on the one occasion when I was able to post a comment, the words appeared to tie themselves in knots and the entire page went wiggly and I was cut off A bug, it may be.
Hi Kitchenery folk! I have an hour to relax before pre-wedding drinks, so - a quick update. Today's the day (sings) I'm going to be a granny. DIL is in labour. Daughter gets married in an hour. Everything is perfect.
Did I sleep last night? Hardly.
Speak soon
DD has an iphone but I don't know which network she uses. Her DH is on orange, as am I so when I can't get her I phone his mobile. Unfortunately he'saway at work at present so can't contact her. She got my facebook message though, eventually. I actually think I need a new tablet, this one keeps crashing.
Just had Aldi's version of a magnum, yummy. The dog stood beside me the whole time, drooling, but I'm afraid none of it fell her way, Ahh. She's 15 now but still needs her teeth.
Congratulations Bella and Mr B so happy for you both that DH is doing well..
Sending strong positive vibes to your DH and DSiL but also to you [Bella] We are always here for you. ((((((Hugs))))))
What sort of device are you trying to connect to Facebook on soop? I couldn't send my DD a message earlier. Advice from DS was to turn my tablet off and on again. Good advice as it happens as message worked. DD lives in Argyll and Bute and I am unable to contact her by phone. I was wondering if the atmospherics had something to do woth it.
Just what I was wondering soop. I came in hoping for news from Bella and from grannyknot
Glad things are ok bella and best wishes to your DH for his next session. So sad fir his sister!
I know Gk's DIL was having a sweep so I hope she comes back with news soon
Lovely photos soop
Hope you get some progress soon Alie - it's really unfair!
Now, did someone mention Magnums? It's really hot here and, what with one thing and another, I'm feeling rather flustered so a cooling ice cream would 've lovely!
Wouldn't want to be ironed either
