Warmed up here a bit now - must be 18 degrees and slightly brighter as mist is s l o w l y lifting. Washing is drying though and I'm getting some gardening done which I probably wouldn't if I was suffering in all that lovely sunshine you lot are all languishing in!
Good morning from a sunny north east, very sticky night so don't feel rested. Lunch in Newcastle with DD and SIL before she returns to Brussels. glassortwo
Glorious day sun, blue sky and sea with white sailing boats pottering about.
Picking up grandson this morning - he will have lunch and then cycle back home over the downs. Retrieved the surf boards from the loft and put up the roof box on the car yesterday so getting there for our annual Cornish trek.
Going to my son's building site (his Home) to see how the renovations are doing. Somewhat daunting I must say.
A bit overcast but very sticky still in North Leicestershire. Out for a coffee with a friend this morning and then our gardener wants help to set up an email address so she can apply to do dry stone walling for local councils. I think I then have to check on it periodically to see if she has any interest. I might be back for help later.
Hot already as you say, Nellie. Gardener is here attacking the weeds that spring up overnight. In a week's time I will be off on my way to France though I wonder if it could be any hotter! Last time I looked in on the Tour de France it was raining in Nimes - not very far from where we're going.
Good morning sunny and bright in Cheshire. I am typing here just wrapped in a bath towel. I was going to shower and dress but decided to make a cup of tea first. That was over half an hour ago. I boiled the kettle up and got onto GN. The boiling water is now on the tea bag and I am leaving it to mash.
Morning all! Sunshine again and forecast to be HOT here on SE Hampshire coast. I have persuaded DH to help me in the front garden this morning whilst it is still in shade. There is a hydrangea which has got far too big for its boots and a floribunda rose which has followed suit so there will be a price to pay for their cheek. Gloves and secateurs are at the ready then our lovely postman Joe will be able to get to the front door more easily!
glassortwo how distressing this must be for all concerned I'm so sorry. I hope the day goes as well as these things can do. I'm sure your friends will value your support..
Morning all, glorious here again, been up to the house for this week, but had to come home this morning to go to my friends 12 yr old DD funeral today, sad day
Back from our break in Much Wenlock - much fitter (all those unaccustomed hills) and much, much fatter (wonderful local cheeses and SiL's birthday binge). Looks like we had better weather than here as most of the storms missed us.
Now off to put in another load of washing and then out to reclaim the garden which is fast morphing into rain forest.
Good morning, it's still summer here . I think I'm getting a bit stir crazy as I've been staying inside in the cool quite a bit. Might have to have a mooch round TKMaxx.
Good morning from East Sussex. Bright blue sky but a bit of a breeze today thankfully. I feel a lazy day coming on and * to the housework. I did not retire to become a domestic goddess.
