Singing in Glasgow

I think us GNers should start teaching youngsters the words to our "National Anthems". The Scottish seem better than the English at singing during the medal ceremonies.
We sang "Jerusalem" at least once a week at school, but nowadays they don't even know "God Save the Queen"

It really is buzzing Baubles. We took our GDs into the City Centre yesterday. The atmosphere was wonderful. Very proud of my native City as it ensures the tradition of the Friendly Games continues.

That sounds like a fabulous day out.

I spoke to my DD on Skype last night, she lives in Glasgow and had been out with the family cheering on the Commonwealth marathon runners. She was so proud of the way the city is hosting the games, 'the buzz was incredible' in her words.

I'm sorry to be missing the whole thing, sods's law that I'm away.
