Hasn't rained over here, Phoenix! (Yet!!) must be a different climate in your neck of the woods.
It is a lovely sunny day right now, and I'm off to the yacht club at Instow, where DGD1 is instructing cadets, DGS1 is sailing and the other DGC and their families are on the beach.
We had the most torrential rain during the night, so much that I got out of bed fearing the roof would cave in. The street was like a river and the noise unbelievable. This morning however, it's like it never happened - dried out and the sun is shining
Good morning all. It,s dull and grey in Northumberland this morning. In just over an hour I am catching the first of three trains to Argyll and Bute , then a ferry to my DD's house where I am staying for the weekend while my DD and SiL go to her best friend's wedding. I am having he,lp from DD's MiL who I get along with very well. The DGC are 7, 5, 4, and nearly 2., wish us luck.
Grey here to but dry. Last 'friendly' golf match of the season today. The summer seems to have gone so fast- lets hope for a few more good days to come.
Good morning from sunny Cheshire! Yes, it's supposed to be a lovely day and so far...............it's not bad!
Got to do some shopping this morning, as on Saturday and Sunday the main road will be closed, meaning that we won't be able to take our cars out of our road.
Still got sore eyes and swollen nose, but no sneezing up to now
Good morning all from East Sussex. Elder daughter, two GC plus DH are going to Eastbourne Airbourne today leaving me at home to cook up the next few meals! We had little rain yesterday and hope for less today. Cloudy and still at the moment.
Overcast here in North Leicestershire but DH has promised to take the DGC to a farm park so DD can finish off preparing for her Healrh and Hygiene inspection for her cake making business. My kitchen has never been so clean! . We have my brother and Sol coming for a curry this evening so I hope I don't make a mess!
It is dull and drizzly in NW London. I have forgotten what sunshine looks like. Not the warmest day of the year, summer has deserted this part of England.
Good morning everyone, I think I missed out again yesterday with a greeting, I have absolutely no idea where the time goes these days. Already the middle of August - what happened to June and July? Anyway, we have a lovely morning here, I am due to play bowls this afternoon as part of the club's competitions. If I win this, I will have to play in the Club Finals, which I am not keen on, so we shall see how it goes. At least it is not too hot and promises to be a fine afternoon. Enjoy your days.
Morning Mick and everyone. We are expecting some thundery showers today according to the weather forecast. It does feel fresher but is clear and bright at present.
I've had a bad reaction to the pneumonia jab I had on Monday with a bright red, hot arm so am on anti-histamines now which seem to be helping a bit. One thing for sure is I'm NOT having a 'flu jab after this!
