Happy Anniversary soop and MacS, I wish you many more happy years together!

It's nice to see more and more Gnetters coming into our kitchen and sharing our good will and goodies!
This is a safe place to be, to share our worries and joys with our kitchen pals BUT......................
I think we're going to need considerably bigger buns!

Just popped in to wish soop and macsporran a happy wedding anniversary! . Do your peas come with mint sauce? If not, I'd pass too.

I've put the coffee on, boiled the kettle, put leaves in the tea pot and I'll also leave this bottle of bubbles here to celebrate!

Another (sort of anniversary) - our lovely little Pippa is one month old today Mind you, you'd think she'd have got the hang of sleeping by now wouldn't you? But alas, no. DD is still feeding her at all hours of the day and night - especially night. Maybe time to move on to the fish fingers and chips a la Victoria Wood? [Hmm]

Jam you come bearing gifts. What more can we ask. Welcome and cheers

Teetime you left your DH doing the ironing!!! Do you hire him out? My DH is wonderful but wouldn't know one end of an iron from another ...until it burnt him that is Am I missing out? Do other kitcheners have husbands who do the ironing?

Cubed chicken for Rory! Does he have particular geometrical shapes for different days of the week? Triangles Monday, trapezoid Tuesday, cubes Wednesday etc.

Now I'm just going to sit awhile and play the "Anniversary Waltz" quietly in the kitchen for dear soop and MacS prior to their special day tomorrow.

A relative newcomer to the kitchen, but am sorry to hear of your loss Bellasnana. It sounds from reading back that you have more than your share of sadnesses.
On a lighter note numberplease all of our cats have snored. In fact I went to bed one night when my husband was away and was scared witless by loud, disembodied snores. I hardly dared look, but found Victoria had settled down to sleep under the bed and was snoring louder than any person could.

I got home from Scotland this afternoon and am just catching up with all the news. Bellasnana what a sad time you and your family are going through. I can't say much more than the other kitcheners have said but know we are all thinking of you. Meanwhile, your little GD is a great comfort to you - I'm so glad you have her with you.

Bellasnan People on GN don't usually remain strangers for long.

It's easy to get to know a lot of people as friends. Which is something I would never have believed possible in a virtual world where we can all benefit from a virtual hug when we need one.

P.S. Forgot to leave you the results of DD2's baking session. Delicious date and walnut cake and two baked New York cheesecakes, one with chestnuts and one chocolate. Divine! If only they were calorie free in my kitchen

To Bella - just don't know what to say- what a tough time you are having- I am so so sorry- hope i this won't make your husband even more worried about his own illness. Everything 'x'ssed- as no C is the same, and some people respond to treatment so differently. What a shame she ignored that lump- I suppose people get so scared, they just cannot face the truth- and yet, the sooner found, the better healed often. How tragic.

Soop and Sporran- enjoy your anniversary, even the mushy peas (;) one thing I could never get used to and love in the UK...) Santé to both of you.

I've finished my weekly ironing duties on behalf of my pal, am now enjoying a pot of freshly brewed coffee. I've been listening to the Tory Party Conference and found it both enlightening and, thanks to Boris, amusing.

Tomorrow we'll be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary...a time of real contentment for both of us. So, how to celebrate... bags will know what I'm about to say...we shall go to the Royal and have fish, chips and mushy peas and treat ourselves to a warming dram of the best Highland malt. Rory will celebrate with a supper of cubed chicken .

No he doesn't vote Conservative but he says he likes to know what the enemy is up to! LOL! Off to the market now - back later for a chat I hope.
