Steam punk weekend

DH was born and bred in Haworth. He has lived in Tyneside for over 40 years and has a weird Geordie/Yorkshire accent. He tells me he used to ride his (homemade) bike through the railway tunnels, as a dare.

Confession - I possess a steam punk blouse. However so far I haven't had anywhere to wear it.

I'd be up for that! Unfortunately it'd have to be next year, as Steampunk was last weekend. I have been know to dig out my best WW2 bib and tucker for the Haworth 40s weekend.

Steam punk books are all the rage too, and I saw a girl in a London pub leaning on the bar in full Victorian get up. Of course, it may have been a ghost.

DS and friends toyed with steam punk. It's really quite beautiful. It's a mixture of Victorian and modern. It's a sort of homage in dress to the age of invention. I wish all the threads were photo threads, I have a lovely one of him and some friends.

I suppose it's a party at the lovely restored railway line they have there - featured in "The Railway Children" film. Absolutely lovely!
