The sprouts thought it funner

(Not sure if there is such a word as funner but let's say it is festive poetic licence)

And the yorkies thought the gravy a stunner.

I'm finding this really, incredibly amusing Lol

The chestnuts eloped wirh the Brussels

The lights are beginning to twinkle

We're loosing our way on this thread
Our lim'ricks gone positively dead
The absence of rhymes
Is a sign of the times
So shall start again...

Di Pom didi, Pom didi, Pom di

Solid as a rock but nearly bald

So she collared a swan

Muscles less like granite, more like lard

His name was young Pike

He rode a steel bike

And whistled as he went on his way

His horse held in in high regard.
