Come on all you proud Grans-to-be, tell us when your newest addition is due in 2015 and we'll celebrate with you when they're born.
One of my close friends gave birth at her home this morning - an 8lb 4oz daughter. Friend's last baby was born on the kitchen floor into daddy's hands without the presence of a midwife, so she did well to just about hang on until the midwife arrived (from first pains to the birth took three hours). It's a very timely arrival because they're booked to be Mary and Jesus next Friday and we were getting worried that the production might actually include the birth scenes.
I am so envious of all of you expecting new GC soon.My own DC are not only in broken marriages, one divorce and one separation, but both are past wanting more children anyway. Enjoy those new lives, it's a very special time.
We are in the same boat KateK with boys appearing right left and centre. If all goes well, by April, we will have 5 boys and 2 girls. But as we had 3 girls, it is redressing the balance a bit.
My 3rd grandchild is due end of January. Mum and Dad have opted not to know whether girl or boy (I reckon it's a boy). My daughters other two children were both well overdue and she had to be induced both times so maybe it'll be a valentines baby. What a time to have a baby though, I wouldn't fancy getting up in the freezing cold to do night feeds in February brrr. I planned my two to arrive in spring for that very reason, lucky for me it all went according to plan.
Fifth gc due on 1st Feb and we know it's a boy. That will make 4 gs and only 1 gd. This new arrival is quite a surprise as it took four years and two rounds of ivf for them to have DGS1 and this little one has appeared naturally! We're all v excited!
daffydil we shall indeed.. Mum told me the names they've picked out the other day , I wasn't impressed which is probably why I can't remember what she said
Our 5th grandchild is due in early March but could be earlier if they decide to induce DIL. She's had a rough time again with sickness all the time. Also she's having injections to prevent another miscarriage! They have decided not to find out he gender (the 1st was a surprise too) We already have 4 GDs so won't be surprised (or bothered)if this is another girl!!
What about 2014? Latest DGC is due on Dec 13th. I'm on alert to take care of DGD when her mum goes into hospital. I'm a nervous wreck. Every time my mobile rings I think it's them. If he doesn't arrive soon I won't cope. It's worse than when I was waiting to have my own!
My daughter is expecting her second child, our third grandchild, on Feb 5th, which is her uncle's 65th birthday. We have a GD and GS already and the new little one will be a girl. We are just as excited as we were for the first.
April 24th for DDs second, they choose not to know the gender.
I was Skypeing with DGS today, he had gone all shy as I had not seen him for several weeks. He knows mummy has a baby in her tummy but when DD was talking to him about it he just put his hands over his ears. It suggests he doesn't want to know. It will be interesting to see how he reacts.
My eldest Granddaughter is expecting my first Great Grandchild in June.. the due date is the same date as my last grandson was born on... June 27th but we shall see.. my daughter is very excited at becoming a grandmother
My third grandchild is due on 17 March. The happy parents have opted not to find out whether they're having a boy or a girl this time. I'm so excited, but my DIL had a rotten time with DGS1, so I'm just hoping things go smoothly.
My nephew and his partner expect their first baby in February. This will be my 12th great nephew or neice and my DS's first grandchild. (I have four DGC) My neice and her husband expect their third child in February also. So that makes 13, a baker's dozen!!
