I think children soon work out who can be jumped on and who can't Nonnie.

My DGS used to ask me to "move the table grandma and fight me".

I had to have a kind of wrestling match on the rug which ended by him sitting on me and pinning my arms over my head. I had to pretend to be conquered and unable to move, but only after a certain length of fighting time !

Before the afternoons started to get dark, we used to take DGS to the park after school to play football. One afternoon we were joined by another little boy who asked if he could play and I heard him say "your gran's really good at football" (Lionel Messe with a dodgy hip, me!). "She's not bad" says my eight year old, "but she's better at cakes"! Know your place!

Not quite on thread but can anyone tell me why I am the one to be jumped on and pounded but Granddad is the one for sitting quietly for cuddles? Yes, I get cuddles but the rough stuff too.

Slightly off topic. Apparently DGS #2 has decided his other nannie is 'big nannie' odd as she is 5' 1" and 8st and I'm 5' 5" and ** stn (+size)

How lovely.

Oh, and the bidet on the en suite is a "little bath".

I have a "curly staircase"! Apparently it is like the ones in a castle. (25 year old house, carpeted stairs, not a turret in sight.)

My little GCs have a tiny back garden. When they come here, they often say they want to go out into my park.
