My dearest friend is definately 'fey' I had my bag snatched a few years ago, he was in Africa at the time, at 2.00am the phone rang with him screaming down the phone 'whats wrong, whats happened' he had paced for 6 hours until the local phone shop had opened to call me.
He also sent me to the doctor once and we discovered I had suffered 5 mini strokes, even I hadn't noticed.
Nice but a bit creepy too.

My ex used to call me a witch but I think that was because he didn't like me rather than me having magical powers

I tried very hard to make someone go away (not to harm him, just to send him on his way) but it hasn't worked yet. Perhaps I need some of you to send some vibes.

It suddenly occurrs to me that Blackie, the feral cat I mentioned on a different thread, who has been persistently hanging around my house, might be looking for employment as a familiar. He's got that look about him.

Faye - your Mother Mary words have brought back memories of my Catholic (now lapsed) upbringing. She didn't help me much then but I might giver her another chance

If only we could get rid of some people like that all the time KatyK. I admit to saying "Mother Mary, full of Grace, please find me a parking space," to help me find a place to park my car. It seems to work... I have to also admit telling my GDs to say when walking to school and it starts to rain, "rain, rain, go away, come back another day." The times they have said it, the rain has stopped and now they believe it works. They also believe Mother Mary will find us a parking space.

Faye - I know that this is nothing more than coincidence but it really has worked for me a couple of times. The family member I mentioned was about to hand in his notice as he was finding it impossible to work with this man (his boss). I kept telling him to stick with it (it is a really good job) and this man would go. He looked at me as if I was nuts then out of the blue, the man was escorted from the premises and my relative is now happy in his job.

Lately I have noticed when I am driving on long stretches of road and come up behind a slow truck or vehicle, they always turn off which saves me having to pass them. I was driving DD2 recently and had just told her about these trucks etc. As I was still telling her the vehicle I had just caught up to turned right onto a side road. She had to believe me.

KatyK my sister did the same thing. Even though there was no chance this difficult man she worked with would ever leave she still told him in her mind every day to go nicely on your way. About six weeks later he was offered another job and left.

Children are so ready to believe. When we went to visit GDs, at the weekend, DH had not shaved for a few days and he told the youngest that he was growing it so he could take over from Santa Claus. Her eyes were like saucers

Goodness, it's a wonder those poor children weren't scarred for life!

When I taught Year 3 I always used Roald Dahl's 'The Witches' as my first class book. At the time I always wore black. As the story progressed I would make not so subtle hints about myself and the description of a witch...they wear black, wear wigs which make their heads itch so I would scratch my head and have no toes (I wore shoes so they couldn't see my toes).

The children always became worried and I would overhear conversations as to whether or not I was a witch.

On the day when we came to the part in which they discovered that witches spiked chocolates with magic which would change a child into a mouse I handed chocolates around. The next day one of the children was mysteriously missing. Unbeknown to us his parents had been contacted to say that his grandmother was seriously ill and they had to go to Poland asap. When we saw he was absent I jokingly said that I thought I'd seen a little mouse in the classroom and maybe my magic had worked. Most children laughed but one little boy became hysterical because he genuinely thought I had turned his best friend into a mouse. It turned out that in the part of Latvia he came from people still believed strongly in the power of witches and the evil eye.....ooops

The laws of coincidence? Just asking.

I have had jobs in the past where I have been really happy apart from there being one person working there who has been rather unpleasant. I used to sort of will them to leave and they usually did, even if they had been there years. Recently a member of my family got a really fantastic job but when he began, one member of staff was making his life really difficult. I told him to will him out and he would go. He said 'there is no chance'. But guess what a couple of months down the line this person was found to be involved in dodgy dealings and went. I realise this sounds a bit odd but it's true
