Advantages of losing my marbles, but am I a winner or a loser.

I love when I find a tenner in an old bag or in the pocket of something I haven't worn for ages , but I never knowingly keep more than £50 in the house , it is all in the building soc and I use my card for shopping ,

Apparently the knicker drawer is one of the first places burglars look for a stash of cash.

How do they know which is the knicker drawer?

I mean how do they know which one to go to first?

Usually the top drawer?
I do not suppose they go there first, they look in all the drawers to see which one is the knicker drawer.
A friend of mine was burgled once. Whoever it was took jewellery and cash, then put all her knickers on the bed, cutting off the lace and putting it in a separate pile.

I have a stash of a lot of Euro notes at present. Possibly about £60s worth. I am likely to use them again in Feb when I go away. If I can find the "safe place" again.

I'm thinking of reporting myself to the police on suspicion of drugs. That way they'll come and do a thorough search of my house. Of course, they won't find any drugs but they will find all the things I have put in safe places.

I've got a baked bean tin which isn't a baked bean tin - if you get my drift.....

Linda found the milk in the cupboard where we keep cups, so why didn't I put the cups in the fridge?. Losing it.

Well that is worth knowing, about thieves going for the knicker drawer first . However I did turn it out twice, even tipping the drawer onto the bed. I missed them because I had tucked the money up inside a pair. How I could have forgotten I don't know. No more cash in the house now though.

I never knew that about burglars and knicker drawers. Now I feels as though I ought to go out and buy lots of new knickers to replace all the old ones in my drawers No lace on mine just sturdy elastic!

They start at the bottom drawer and work their way up, too, so that they can see what is in each before the next one hides it (they don't bother closing them). So perhaps if you had a small amount of money just visible in one of the lower ones, they just might think that was all and not bother looking in the top one(s).

Or perhaps not, they would probably hope you had some in each!

I'm sure they check for any curiously light baked bean tins as well!

Aha, not where I keep mine

Mind boggles Marmight ! Have had to stop 'putting things in safe places' as never remember where they are, and house isn't that big, perhaps I have a 'Borrower' family safety secreting my lost things somewhere?

I decided it was not a good idea to keep my good jewellery in the lovely jewellery box DH had given me so moved it to somewhere I felt was safer and a week later we were burgled! My jewellery was safe!

Not just cash, either . I write secret codes for my passwords, then I can't decipher the codes.

Blimey I'm glad it's not just me then. I recently withdrew £200 from the bank, went to do some shopping, realised I couldn't find the £200. Went back into the bank, asked them if anyone had handed in £200 as I had lost it (lost is is the key phrase!). There was much sympathy from the bank staff but no one had handed it in. After a further search of my bag I found the money in a secret pocket in my bag. By this time I was hot, panicky, my heart was beating so fast I thought I would faint. My DH always says to me 'every time we go out, you can't find your purse, phone, keys or something, Get a grip.' I must try.

Littleflo I have the very same problem with my passwords. I code them and I am not able to work out what they are..

I have just looked I have 41 website type passwords. One email account has two different entries.
