Good Morning Boxing Day

Late in the day for posting but it's snowing here in Stockport ,just like huge white feathers and it is settling. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

We had a thick frost here this morning in NW Suffolk and a temp of 1C, but sunny. However, now it's very dull and almost 3C, with snow forecast for late this evening and on and off throughout tomorrow. It shouldn't be too deep though, it says 1cm.

A little late for good morning so good day everyone.

Dull here in Chester, gd is hoping for snow I am not, I am already all played out. Just off for a quick walk and then to ds for family get together. Hoping to getaway early in order to put our feet up and watch Wallender at 9pm.

Overcast and looks like snow in Aylesbury after a very frosty start.

DH and DD1 have just gone into town to look for wood and lock to stop dogs escaping. DSiL is still in dressing gown - says he's coming down with manflu - and girls now dressed and watching Lego film. Hopefully the rest of us will go for a walk after lunch - just a short one so we can say we have!

Been up since 8am had a lovely lazy morning and started one of the books I got from Santa. Bliss

Oh, forgot to mention weather. Thick fog has lifted, now grey and pouring rain. Nose in a book day definitely.

Good morning all, happy Boxing Day. I hope you all had a stress free day yesterday. I started posting but DH reminded me that we had to fit in a visit to his brother and nephew. We found them sitting in the sun enjoying a drink so we joined them for a small one.

Another weather geek here Nellie It went down to 4.4degC last night but it's rising steadily now and has become very pleasant in the sun.

Boxing Day is my favourite too, I hope you all have a good day.

Happy Boxing Day all. We think it's raining here (chez DS2 & GF in Plymouth). To be honest I haven't looked out yet but dog has been out and said it is raining. We had a lovely day and a magnificent meal, which was cooked by the youngsters. We met the GF's family and all got on well. We also saw DS1 & family in USA on Skype so everyone happy.

Good morning from the East Midlands after a hard frost overnight

A belated Good Morning all.

I have been up since 7am but this is my first chance to post. We had a very quiet day yesterday apart from the hour when DD DGSx2 came for present exchange. Our fun day is today DD and partner for lunch then the boys dad is bringing them here later this afternoon.

Woke up freezing cold, and now the rain has started and forecast to rain all day. After a busy social Christmas Day, I'm having the whole day to myself today. Shall tidy up then sit down with treats and goodies and catch up with yesterday's recorded programmes.

Overcast and chilly but very still here in Mid Essex. I will be talking to daughter in Cumbria later and see what the weather is like there.
Off to son's later on for lunch etc. so a nice easy day for me.
Actually I sometimes miss the big Christmas cook up when all the children were at home and grandparents came - not the shopping for it though. I don't miss that.

Overcast with a rather threatening tinge here in the north west. It's also much colder than yesterday. I love boxing day, the traditional long walk, the continued indulgence in fabulous food, even better as it's now all cooked and just waiting to be eaten. Have a good day everyone

No sign of sunshine in NW London but at present it is dry, frosty and very cold. I may make a wish to keep the snow at bay.

It's a frosty foggy morning, but I think I can see a lightness in the sky - so am delaying my morning walk until later. It may turn out sunny :-)

Hi all. Frosty and calm in East Sussex. All there is on BBC News for last half hour is a sports review of last year. Bah humbug!

Morning Mick and ya all.....glad that's over. Love it but it' hard work.It's cold bright and frosty here in kent . Nothing to do except eat left overs, relax and enjoy. Love Boxing Day. Best day of the year
