Why did you choose your username?

One half of my family are Gaelic speakers and agus (and) was the fist Gaelic word I taught DDs and GDs

There have been a few ocassions when I have been addressed as Angus on GN, even spellcheck insists I mean Angus

The family nick name for me when I was small.

Because my dear old Mum used to say "I'm going gaga" when she forgot something so it's in memory of her really. And I am a Gran!

I started out as absentgrana because I lived on the opposite side of the world from my grandchildren. This became shortened to absent and, although I have now emigrated to New Zealand, I have stayed with absent in spite of being present, as it were.

I was Oxon70....only after a bit I wasn't 70 any more.....

We are the Pitts and our house is similar to Piccadilly Circus!

I started out on Mumsnet, years back now, as agy. Changed it one Christmastime to JaNgLyBELLS. That got changed to jangly. That got changed to jingle (due to leaving and returning). Then it became jingl for the same reason. Then it was JO2 (God knows why - think it was bags's idea). Then there was JO3, and perhaps 4. (You keeping up?) then I came back again as jinglebells. Then as jinglbells (subtle difference there). Then jinglebellsrocks. Then jinglbellsfrocks.

Oh yes! That was 'whatsamashedupjingl' because you used to be able to return with a - quoting GNHQ - a 'mashed up' version of your previous name.

Nina is a nickname derived from the name on my passport. No body has ever called me by that name. I have always been known by my middle name even on the school register.

Nina was taken when I joined so I added 'thenana'
