Got any snow yet?

No sorry still nothing here on the coast. Not that I want any. It's weird isn't it how it can be snowing just a mile or so inland. We did have some heavy rain at about three when I was standing in the school yard but definitely no snow.

Snowing softly again. Now btw, 2ft is really not much at all for this time of year here- should me more 5ft normally.

That's good, harrigran. I was worried that the snow in Sunderland had just been following our car!
I saw the comet a couple of nights ago, and showed the grandkids, but the seven year old could not see it. Grandson could.
I think I saw it last night, too, but it looked red and blue and green last night.

Slowly and softly snowing again. Got about 2 ft out there.

We have snow which has been lying all day in Sunderland, I live beside the A690 and A19. DS has photographed the comet and it is on his flickr page. I haven't been well enough to go and stand outside with the binoculars, already had one pneumonia scare

Just been to lock the door, and checked my outdoor thermometer. It's -2, all the snow has gone, and the stars are shining very brightly, with no clouds, so it's probably going to get colder.
By the way, has anyone seen Lovejoy, the comet?

That's strange, gillybob, as I was in Sunderland between 2.30 and 6.00 p.m. and it was snowing there! Lots of snow on the way back on the A690.

It's all gone!

Nothing at all here on the North East coast. A bit rain this afternoon but no snow thank goodness. I think it must be the sea air.

Up here in Co. Durham we have had a thin covering. Nothing to worry about. Freezing cold now though. Dont think I shall venture out tomorrow. Plenty in the fridge and freezer. Snuggle down time me thinks.

We had a few inches in the Peak District. All the children were out sledging.

Not a lot of snow here, but there were still pockets of it in areas which had no sun today.

Some (not a lot) of snow on the distant mountains which looked very picturesque

Now I am going to be adventurous, and fail probably, and try and upload a photo of our garden and 'our' Church in the snow.

We had snow here (Cheshire) during the night, then it melted slightly and now it's been snowing for about an hour and a half
Supposed to be a freezing night too!

Even here in SW France snow is forecast for this week - bitterly cold wind today.

We had snow this morning, but it is all disappearing now. Just as well really, as I am shortly making the 22 mile journey to see my Dad for the first time since taking him to the Care Home.
