Did you hear the tale of the woman who advertised for sale the complete set of Encyclopaedia Britannica (this was pre Google days)? She then added 'Reason for sale, husband knows everything'. Could be my DH.
Is this an inheritable characteristic? DS2 is a formidable arguer. The trouble is that he knows a great deal more than I do about economics! His father hated to have a woman contradict him, even on the most trivial matters.
As mine will argue about/with anyone (including people on the TV!), last night I said 'I'm sure you're right' (he wasn't, but hey ho) and he started arguing about that!! I give up ......
I rtemember that "good idea" thing, rosequartz DH would turn down my suggestions as impossible, then come from work with "We were talking about xxxx today and so-and-so suggested . . ."
My mother gave me some good advice on my wedding day, it has stood me in good stead. "Remember that your husband is always right, even when he's wrong".
