Good home wanted or "Lost, stolen or strayed"

I've never been to Brum.. if there is to be an 'open' get together then maybe I will join in. Anyone orgaising anything? but please note I am not licking anything.

I am aiming to visit 5 cities /towns in UK that I have not been to before (or for a long time). Did Bristol in January so B'ham could be next!

(that was supposed to be 5 cities/towns this year!

So sad! We had such a good meeting in Brum a couple of years ago and not a bitchy word. I do hope our venue has not been hijacked

I went to Birmingham three weeks ago but will not to be going at the end of February (with a bit of luck).

(No offence to Birmingham, it was to visit someone in hospital so have no wish to repeat it.)

I did not see anyone licking boots or a****s and did not do any myself!

Not the first time, I'm sure- that the pm function has been used for all the wrong reasons and for unpleasant gossip or, otherwise known as, 'slagging off' - sadly.

Oh Petallus I think it is just some gentle teasing because someone made a mistake. At least that's my reading of it.

petallus, there are only three people who might be feeling uncomfortable about this thread:

the person described, unkindly, as a 'bootlicker';
the person who sent the message to Soutra in error;
and the person for whom the message was really intended. The rest of us are just interested - and mildly amused - bystanders.

I'm finding it rather funny. Looks like 'someone' forgot to be nice and has been rumbled. Reading the whole thread it's becoming increasingly obvious who dun it and who knows she dun it. Naughty!

Maybe there is more to Birmingham than I ever knew!! I've only ever driven around it on the way elsewhere.. maybe I should take a trip...

Well it isn't at all obvious to me but as I have posted before there is an inner circle on GN and I'm sure they will know.

anno I think we can safely assume that the person described as a 'bootlicker' need not feel uncomfortable, but has been wrongly slagged off by someone whose judgement is questionable.

I'd assume that the 'bootlicker' wouldn't have a clue who she/he was anyway, just from the content of the PM in the OP.
