Good morning all from Stockport. It is a little bit brighter here but that can only be because the cloud is thinner as there is no sign of sun. Nothing on the cards for me today which is the norm so I am getting used to it and holidays are a thing of the past,so please keep posting about all yours,I live life second hand these days and it is quite good.

Dry and bright but cloudy in Northumberland. Quite mild though. I had enough light this morning to have a window shop around Hexham while waiting for the bus.

The masa Verdi national park , Brice Canyon and Arches national park are all worth visiting. The national parks in Western USA are wonderful.

Good morning all, very dull here, but reading about the proposed holiday destination for Nk brightening my morning, so thank you Nk. I really must get a duster out (for the other half) and show the vacuum cleaner daylight, not sure what will happen after that - enjoy your days.

Thank you! We're hoping to get into Yosemite a bit so I'm glad it's been warmer than usual. We've been to the western USA before, booking and going wherever we fancy. It worked well. There are so many wonderful little State Parks which no one seems to no about. I have heard a lot have been closed, so it's pot luck. Serendipity!

Wooohoo! So do it! Ahh, the weather should be lovely as well but also prone to an occasional cold snap this time of year. San Diego's climate, downtown redevelopment and overall casual, friendly atmosphere makes it a really special destination. I hope you love your holiday!!

Yet another dull grey day here. I've got school pick up this afternoon as the youngest has hospital check up.

MariClaire - Baja Penisula - Whale watching / bird watching trip on a boat from San Diego for two weeks. Then hiring a car and heading towards the The National Parks (Joshua etc) for more birding. Hopefully DH may have had his fill of birds for a while and I may get to stroke a whale's nose!

Kiora on a side note, your profile is one of my favorites! Such interesting descriptions and a no-nonsense approach make you sound fun. Well done!

I'm up at my usual time as I have to go out at 8 o'clock to pick up my grandson and take him to school. This is my daily lot at the moment as they live too far from the school to consider walking and my son is currently banned from driving! I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to next week which is half-term and I get a week off. At least it isn't frosty this morning.

Good Morning Everyone! It's still Wednesday night at 10pm over here on the US West Coast. Once again, we have a beautiful week of warm 80+ degrees. Our garden is so confused. We have had no winter here at all. I even had to turn on sprinklers FGS and water all the plants that should be dormant!

Can't sleep; not sure what it's doing outside [still dark]. Can't decide whether to give up trying to sleep and go to the gym for a work out and a sauna when it opens [6.30] or have some milk with whisky in which will mean I can't drive anywhere for ages.
