Good morning, it is sunny and mild. Out to lunch with friend today.
We needed a new boiler for our second home and the gas board wanted to rip the kitchen apart and drill holes through the worktop to put pipes in. We were also told that as the flue was above ground floor we would have to have scaffolding erected at a cost of £900 The price was so shocking we asked the plumber at our first home if he would do it and he agreed. The plumber had to drive two hours each way, he completed the work in one day, beautiful job and £2,000 cheaper than Gas board. Just saying, pays to look into other options rather than being held to ransom.

Nice here at the moment, but I see cloud approaching from Wales.

The sun which was out half an hour ago has gone already, we will have to be grateful for yesterday which was lovely.

As usual nothing planned but who knows what may turn up, I had a brief visit from youngest GC who was 4 last Friday and a 45min phone call from a friend of 56 years which uplifted me so much.

Clear sky and sunny here in W. Country. Off to meet an old school friend for coffee. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all.
Another day of no clouds but there is frost on the grass. It was a lovely day yesterday so hope today is good also. Rain forecast for the rest of the week.
My car goes for a service and MOT today fingers crossed. It's going to a local garage rather than the car dealers so hopefully will be a lot cheaper.

Cold and bright here on the south coast. Ice on the bird bath - first time for some time now. Off to knit and natter later on, and can't think what to have for lunch, I am in a really lazy mood these past few days. Enjoy your days.

It's a bright start in my bit of the East Midlands too.

I have to go to M&S to collect some slippers, having washed the last pair at 90 degrees. I really must learn to activate the child lock on the washer! . Then it's off to Derby to collect DGC 1 & 2 from school and cook their tea. Then another Stenders!!
