Beautiful in NW Suffolk, too. There was a frost this morning, but now a lovely 8C. No gales forecast here for the weekend, thankfully.

Good morning all bright and sunny with lovely blue skies here in East Northants.

As you say, annsixty. gloomy and very still at the moment. I think the hail must have missed us, or I might have been still asleep! The forecast for the weekend is for gales and I'm looking at the big cypresses just across the brook from my house!

Brilliant sunshine and blue skies here in mid Essex though cold with a frost and ice on the bird bath. Odd jobs this morning including a bit of typing for DH then to a friend's after lunch for cuppa and a natter.

A short hailstorm was followed by a bright sunny spell but it has clouded over already. What will follow I wonder?Yesterday's shredding was halted by the shredder packing in,the third in as many years. Left with the feeling ,are these things built to last or not?

Ditto nannotgran, it is so much better to wake up to a cold bright morning isn't it? We might play bowls this morning, depends on the other half - he has lost his confidence recently, because I think of his eye problem, so I am trying to make him make the decisions about what we do. It means waiting a little, but we are getting there! Enjoy your days.

Much better in Northumberland today, it's dry. Looks like we could have a good day. I'm going shoe shopping later, not DH's favourite job, my feet are notoriously difficult to fit, being rather narrow. Wish me luck!

Good morning all. Bright and cold in Tokyo. We are nine hours ahead of the UK. Hotel room lovely with a view of the city and the Imperial summer palace. I'm totally exhausted as have not been asleep since 06.00 yesterday in London.
