I fancy being an animal of some kind. Peter Rabbit or Mrs Tiggy-Winkle.

Jo March from Little Women. My first feminist role model.

Dona St Columb from Frenchman's Creek. Who wouldn't want to live in a beautiful part of Cornwall and fall in love with a daring pirate?

Forever Amber - my first racy novel.

I think I should have to be Lucia from the Mapp and Lucia books, although part of me would really like to be The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo grin

Oh boy, that's got me thinking. I'll have to get back to you on that one. So many to choose from.

Mrs Tiggywinkle- my first feminist role model!

Tori, from the book of that name. Out into the Wild West with the wagon train!

Anya Sat 07-Mar-15 13:37:24

The Mouse from The Gruffalo, he epitomises the triumph of brain over brawn.

Venetia by Gergette Heyer

I would be Mr Bennett. I have a lot of sympathy for his dislike of "comings and goings".

annodomini Sat 07-Mar-15 12:47:42

My first feminist hero - Nancy Blackett, of Swallows and Amazons. Don't think I'd be very convincing though!

loopylou Sat 07-Mar-15 12:37:27

Alice in Wonderland-and I have just found my long lost copy of The Annotated Alice.
Mind you, you'd be hard pushed to see anyone look less like her than me!
Perhaps I should be the White Rabbit, totally covered up!

chance not change! I really don't have my typing fingers today.

Grannyknot Sat 07-Mar-15 12:36:19

Haha juliette I'd be Scarlett O'Hara. Lots of wide swishing skirts, off-the-shoulder dresses and men falling at my feet. And I'd have the change to be feisty too, see!

Actually, I'd be Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird.

...and you have to dress up as your favourite character from a book. Who will you be? I might be Mrs. Bennet from P&P. Lots of 'bosom hoiking' opportunities.
