Jane, I guessed that's where you might live. We are familiar with Breckland, often drive that way when heading for N,Norfolk. As you say, it's the nearest we have to a desert, unique area with interesting flora & fauna.

Does anyone have a day when the computer decides to close a programme without as much as a by-your-leave? I have lost count of the number of times I've been cut off and needed to go back to square one. I must admit to being everso slightly miffed. The air is a delicate shade of purple.

Tomorrow morning I shall be doing my pals ironing. When I've had lunch (Ryvetta and apple), I shall catch up with my Granspal Kitcheners. I look forward to doing so and hope that you'll join me.

soop can't believe I have met another Ryvita fan. I don't have a sweet tooth and have been eating these since childhood. Anyone else I,know says they are like pieces of cardboard! Two Ryvitas thick with butter and cheddar cheese. Yummy

soop that no.10 cat is a male and apparently a good mouser. I believe the PC on the door knocks to let the cat inside when he thinks he has been there long enough.

We will be on the move again, have you got planning permission for the site? A sea view would be heaven instead of a blue and yellow tin monstrosity called a Sikh community centre that I have to look at. Every other building around, including mine, is red brick.

I only like the sesame seed ones now too Lona. Doesn't stop DD1 having a go at me, "oh yes Mum, the seeds will make it sooo much tastier"! Can't believe how much they have all shrunk in size now though.

I like the dark Ryvita with cream cheese and smoked salmon when I'm feeling flush......usually it's with marmite and cucumber.

I have been having the same combination for years loopylou. Could possibly be risqué and try the cream cheese but, sorry, I can't even stand the smell of marmite

Try smoked salmon with a little horseradish and mayonnaise

That is a very big ask but, I have always been the adventurous type

Soop, regarding your computer dropping out of programs. Please check out this thread and run the software I recommend in their. Hopefully they may sort your problem and speed things up.

I like ryvita too! Often garlic cream cheese with cucumber, maybe egg and tomato. Although I'm not sure I can eat it now, I shall have to check - maybe I will be fine with the dark one, my favourite.

Smoked salmon, cream cheese and a little chopped spring onion. Caviar if you have it.

Ah - it appears I shall no longer be buying ryvita. What a pain, it is my quick weekday lunch during the summer.

You can buy GF crackers janer. They are surprisingly tasty. I think its because crackers are supposed to be hard. I found all pastry, bread, cake turned out dry and hard within 2 or 3 hours after baking.

I have noticed the U.S. spelling, programs, a few times on GN. Have I missed something and we no longer use the UK programmes?

I think it depends on how people are able to set the tablet/phone/PC they are using.

GF crackers nannieroz - do you mean cheese crackers, or crispbreads? I shall have a look, I have seen GF cheese crackers but not tried them yet.

Yes, I got that answer on google too. Suppose I will just have to move with the times then as although computer programme is acceptable it seems the majority use the US program.

I make so many mistakes, my brain races on faster than my fingers can keep up with, so unless typos are highlighted as spelling errors, I usually miss them. Hence my very recent "humanly" rather than "humanely"

Definitely crackers janer not crispbreads. Glutafin do just plain crackers (salty), I seem to recall Mrs Crimble did a tasty version too. Rice cakes are an alternative, although I think they can be a bit like eating polystyrene!

Oh yes they most certainly are, I have some in the cupboard. Let's just say that they have been there since October...

I`m not usually a fan of crispbreads, but just lately, I`ve become quite fond of Jacobs crispbreads, crackers and flatbreads, in every flavour.

I clicked too soon. Was going to add that hubby was told he could go home at lunchtime, then at 4.35pm he was told they were keeping him one more night, to have another x-ray in the morning, and they`ve clamped the drain tube until then. Hopefully all will be satisfactory tomorrow, he wasn`t very happy at the idea of staying another night.
